A 1st cross Collie/Grey... put me off Collie crosses for life ! LOL ! Must admit, it was an adult dog when I got it, (swapped it for a terrier, couldn't be arsed with that digging lark !!). It could j

English bullxGreyhound, could,nt catch a fat lass in high heels,i nicknamed it boomerang because it kept coming back, ended up with a terrier lad who made better use of it.

Haway, than, Andy ! I've been invited to judge the Longdogs at Carisbrook show, the biggest Running Dog and Terrier Show in Australia, this year, Let's give it a go and go down there together, the lad

  • you go into pure breeds first cross greyhounds youll get alot more bad dogs than well bred lurcher to lurcher

Whin, once again, this thread is about the worst dog YOU have had; not about the worst BREED, or the worst dog someone you KNOW has had ! Now your dogs may be good, but you can't have had perfect dogs all your life; one of them MUST have been less perfect than the others ? That's what the post is about !

Cheers.

Strangely enough, that's a popular cross in Australia, but I did laugh at the "fat lass" quip ! LOL !!

A saluki bull greyhound.....the dog had a mountain of tackle put in front of it and was consistently shite........just when I thought it had turned a corner, it would let me down again.

He was a fine looking animal too and a few lads wanted him when they knew he was on the yellow card, but no doubt for all the wrong reasons.........whatever, he were nice but useless.

The list could go on, but we would be here all night lol lol

a collie x bitch that i had.

dont get me wrong, when i first started her, she was brill, for a pup. Scooping rabbits up. She even killed a fine roebuck on her first attempt, can remember it like it was yesterday. She had hold of it, and let go, ran it again, pulled it, as i was running over, she came off it and came back to me, again it got up & ran, so i gave her some encouragement and she got back on it, this time had a proper throat hold, and wouldnt let go..... it was as i had just watched her "teach" herself how to deal with a situation. it was one of the moments that stick out in my mind to me.

Anyway, after having a few bunny's & roe, i started on the hares with her, i remember her scooping up 2 single handed, in quick succession.

However, one night i took her out she was just a complete diffrent dog, wouldnt retrieve, wouldnt recall when lamps off. just being a little BITCH!!

One night i took her out and slipped her, it was either rabbit or hare, cant remember. and quite simply she just never came back!

i stayed around for hours, i had work in morning.... one of the lads i lamped with back then, phoned me in the morning and asked me if he should have a look for her. I just told him to leave it as if she's playing tricks like that, then i dont want her back.

A lad i do a bit of lamping with now, found it on the same night. PoachersPocket might know the story??? if GH told you?
