Malt 379
http://www.bbc.co.uk...entral-15660455 FFS.. Only in this country could a dog be deemed a danger to public health after attacking a cat.. Fair enough the dog shouldn't have been allowed to escape, but if anyone should be paying the price it's the owners for failing to control the dog. There are fines and control orders in place to deal with things like this without having to resort to the destruction of the dog. It's a family pet FFS.. No hard men comments about cats please, they will be deleted..
rob190364 2,594
I bet that's not the first incident with that dog, there will be other factors behind it I'm sure...........if not then it's f'ckin ridiculous! I suppose what it does prove is what other people have said on other cat threads, if your dog kills a cat don't whatever you do make the owner aware that it was your dog that did it! Richie10 345
Will that mean that cats will be put down if found to kill Songbirds?

paulus 26
problem is cats enjoy the fredom to rome with no responsibility placed on the owner, but its a different story for dog owners, i know a lad that was walking down the street with 2 terriers on leads when a cat ambushed his dogs as he walked by a gateway to a property. the inevitable happend but the coppers still tried to charge him. absolute madness. cats and badgers are the ethnic minorites of the animal world

There may well have been previous, but it could also just have been some Cat loving, dog hating magistrate. Either way, too often 'the law is an Ass'.
jetro 5,349
i bet if it was any other breed of dog than a staffie, it wouldnt be should a big deal, and the owners would get off with a fine and coustion. atb,j.
