I agree with him entirely. I wouldnt want to eat a dog or see a dog farm but logically he speaks sense. It's that sort of statement that is needed to make people realise that there is a living animal that has been killed to put the meat on their plate. I dont know how anybody can dissagree with what he has said in that report, its not opinion its fact.

My comment wasn't taht i disagree with what he said, although i would say many species are "used" to farming practice and others such as dogs have been domesticated in a different way but i agree, in theory there is no difference to eating pork/chicken/horse/cat/dog/snail.

My comment about Hugh was that he started off with shows about hedgerow foraging and wild meat, then came river cottage, then Hugh started to get a bit dictatorial with his methods, i agreed with his chicken out campaign but its easy to tell folk when you are a millionaire, not living on the breadline, and nowdays i just hope Hugh isn't just trying to be more contraversial and conme out with unusual or outlandish comments purely for publicity........

Thats my point mackem. Yeh hes made a good amount of money and I most probably would have done the same but in doing so he killed the real essence of the original series. Fair play to him but what he

in london like he was an only came down for filming

i would not be able to eat dog. but i think he makes a fair enough point though about us putting some animals on a pedestal and not other, the only difference really is our perception of whats OK

Hundreds of such reports online, the dig would be an endangered species in the UK and stateside if they were all true, urban leg-end.

and consuming

I dont know if it was originally bred for food,no one in their right mind would breed a carnivore for the table, dog meat isnt all that, its edible but there are tastier things to eat,but when times are hard maybe that was one of its uses...

Not sure about that. Most of the tastier fish species eat other fish and animals.

And Croc tastes very nice
