lapin2008 1,587
i would not be able to eat dog. but i think he makes a fair enough point though about us putting some animals on a pedestal and not other, the only difference really is our perception of whats OK
Lab 10,979
I also like Hugh and his views and what he tries to achieve. Realistically if the pups where farmed correctly and humanely dispatched then there really should be no problem with it. As we are a nation of dog lovers it just wouldn't happen over here. Probably a question he was asked by a twat journalist in the hope of provoking an outrage......idiots!!!!
mackem 29,519
Eaten dog in the past, and cat(cue pussy and beaver eating jokes)bith just meat in some places, wont catch on over here anytime soon, maybe Hughes statement which is sure to provoke debate was made just as his new series is coming up....Good bit of advertising. Hob&Jill 258
Cant see anything wrong with what he said. Wouldnt eat it myself but like he said if it was humanely done etc then why not?
Born Hunter 17,907
I agree with him entirely. I wouldnt want to eat a dog or see a dog farm but logically he speaks sense. It's that sort of statement that is needed to make people realise that there is a living animal that has been killed to put the meat on their plate. I dont know how anybody can dissagree with what he has said in that report, its not opinion its fact.
