Teachers Strike

Recommended Posts

What makes these people think they have a right to a day off at our expense while the rest of us non-public sector people pick up the tab?

Its the ordinary working bloke that pays for the gold plated work/penshion package these people all enjoy while all the while trying to pay for the 13 year spending binge their trade union mates the Labour party indulged in.

All these union folk should be shot as traitors to the country and start again with folks who actually want to go to work and need a job!

If you had been doing a job for say 20/30 years, and every month and year, you payed money from your wages into a pot, and were told that at the end you would get a good chunk of it back as a pension

spot on,they have a bloody job and the best holiday system in any job.ok they have to teach some brats, but in any job its not always perfect.Never liked unions, ever since i heard a lot of them went to russia years back to see thier system in practise.communisim was rife back then in the trade union, dont know if it still is the case today.but found them to be suspicious.

I was just about to post a similar thread!

14 weeks - or thereabouts - holiday. Plus tacked on 'training' days. And they're boo-hooing about having to work longer. WTF?! Everybody else has to pay into their pensions, why shouldn't they?

I might feel more supportive if teachers were in it for the right reasons. If they really did want to make a difference, if every single kid in their classes mattered. If they used some of their half term breaks for training and lesson planning. But it seems to me that the vast majority of them go into the work because of the holidays.

Well winds me up.

They should not get paid for today for a start, then they should as a collective, have their wages docked until everyone who has had to pay out for rearranging work, child care etc has been re-inbursed the money they have lost!

Bet they wouldnt be that keen to "strike" if it actually cost them some real cash!

I sincerly hope Cameron gives them nothing!....the unions always play up when they are shitting themselves that life may have to involve showing the public some results for the money they get!

I heard a rumour today that they're planning a full week strike in October - that'll be right around the first half term break of the year. Convenient, they can use the money they should be paying into their pensions and have a longer holiday abroad.

I agree LG, its all very cynical in the extreme!

So it's ok to shut the schools because a pair of obscenely wealthy useless parasites are getting married at public expense but not because working people are trying to defend their rights? There are some real arsehole crawling royal bumsuckers on this site.

And if the cap fits . . .

Actually no, it wasn't ok to shut up the school for the Royal Wedding, imo. But that's tradition in this country.

Between the wedding and the Easter half term the kids were in school 8 days in May. That's bang out of order.

Public sector :wankerzo4: :wankerzo4: sack em all and give someone else their jobs, fu*king lazy tw*ts. They don't like the thought of working for a living like the private sector do they! No they think they are better than them and deserve to be paid for by Joe blogs on the street :feck::feck: .

They are not parasites because the vast majority would keep them given a national vote.

The lads have served there country and laid there life on the line, I'd be proud to have them as my sons.

After the years of Labour scum trying to destroy any national identity we have left, the royal family are one of the few things holding us together.

f**k the pampered socialist public sector, it's time to join the real world.

Firstly, most teachers on strike will not get payed for today.

Secondly, we would not have this problem if labour had not plundered the pension funds.

Thirdly, they do one of the hardest and most important jobs, for what is realistically fairly crap pay, and get very little respect.

I'm sure all of the folk running their mouths off on here have some experience of doing that kind of job?
