This is one of those topics were you everybody has a different opinion on what constitutes a good/great dog....Its all relative to the people you know and the circles you run in....I've seen and owned some good dogs..were they better than anyone elses....no way to answer that...Keano's old dog gripper was a real good dog in it's day and would tackle anything...Catcher had a brindle bitch which had gears to spare on Hares my old bitch Meg was a good freezer filler in her day, My other Bitch Blaze specialised in Charlie and would do them for fun. I'm sure most folk have had a dog thats gave them diamond days to remember and stories to tell long after they've gone and surely thats worth more than worrying if your dog is better than everyone elses.

mate of mine has a colliexhound and i have to say iv seen him excell at all quarry .Hes a demon on foxes and larger quarry .He has a knack of sweeping quarry and killing almost instantly.If there was a single dog iv seen graft that i could have then id have him in a heartbeat.Iv seen this dog do things that iv never seen any other lurchers do
