Emigration

Recommended Posts

I think I would move to the USA, better gun laws in most states and I like the idea that you don't have to even leave the house to go shooting....to leave your window slightly ajar and wait for the burgulars to arrive :whistling:

lol. You must be thinking of Detroit.

Had 2 choices Canada or Asia,Canada is an incredible country, but the winters suck big-time,asia is ok for the short term, lived in several countries here in the past, the standard of living is good and I am making a few quid, but its not the end of the line in my game-plan,dont think I could retire in the UK though, its 30+ degrees and brilliant sunshine today, good enough for the time being.

when we go away, we like to get away from what we know, feel the culture, exsperience there ways of living. Much more chilled out than ours...

Thats exactly what i like to do,when im on holiday !....going to live in a different culture speaking a language i dont know......thats not my idea of fun.....

I love the greek islands Zante,Rhodes,Kos etc etc all beautiful places with great food, climate and culture but i couldnt live there.......no,give me a sun soaked Spanish villa surrounded by my fellow cockneys, that will do me for the last period of life

Nah, dont see the point of buying a house elsewhere, and surrounded by the same kind... I think the whole thing about going abroad is changing your lifestyle.. As you'll get bored of sitting in the sun 200 days of the year, never mind 365... I would anyway, like to be doing things..

Not so much as emigrate but would like to move to the North West coast of Scotland around Ullapool or further North to get away from the urban sprawl

A lot of your fellow countrymen have the same idea as were l live on the Western Isles most of the houses for sale are bought by Englishmen and at least they try to fit in to our communities unlike some of the foreigners who come to Britain...

cheers Callum

funny you should say that about the english mooving up there,,,, there was a documrntry about the marrine biologist Monty somthing,,,, he was on one of the islands and he got involved with comunity events,,,, but all the locals had middle class english accents

recon eastern europe is the place , romania ,hungary ,poland ect , not to many people there !!

they are all in f..kin england now

on a serious note these are some of the places ive seriously considered as you can get a great property with land very very cheap and you can set your own business up cheaply but not sure about the education system and the levels of corruption are of the scale and the crime rate is quite high its fear of the unknown id like to go to these places and would have no qualms on my own but when kids are conserened its a worry
