taz2010 1,297
i think if you give the dog work week in week out and it is still at the top of its game and doing it single handed you can say the dog has earned the right to be classed as Garenteed/ a t b x38 i agree mate Quote Link to post
BULL 100
thought a guarente was if you purchased somthing and if it didnt do what it was suppossed to do you could give it back !,which in this case would be dependent on the amount of work over a certain amount of time at a certain standard that had to be achieved ,each dog is different and matures in a different time scale ,also one mans hard working dog is another mans jibber, Quote Link to post
taz2010 1,297
over the years ive seen some good dogs come and go i seen young dogs kill more big game in one season than some doge would kill in 5 seasons so how do you define guarantee id guarantee those young dogs any time,i know what ya saying stabba but you yourself must have seen young dogs smashing things and think to yourself id guarantee that dog any day, so to say your dog has to be 3 or 4 isnt really the answer. chartpolski 27,911
I'm not sure what the OP meant by "Gauranteed"' but if a dog is doing it's stuff in it's second season, and doing it well, then it's as "Gauranteed" as a dog doing it in it's fourth or fifth season ! I do think that to many dogs are supposed to be "Gauranteed" by they're two year old, the odd one may be, but most take a few more seasons to be classed as that for me ! Cheers. Quote Link to post
tag 29
a dogs good when it keeps doing its job even after its lost a few , my old dog hit a tree , and just couldnt work the same , he could only shake to one side , ending up carrying him back to the car on a few occasions , but never lost interest , the dog knew his job and enjoyed doing it , and never turned his head once , thats when their made of the good stuff , how many boxers get beat at the top of their career and never make a comeback ?? it takes something special to keep going after the doubts kick in after a loss , and its the same with a dog , if that dogs used to standing over a kill , to then suddenly be beat it changes everything , the good ens will do their job no matter what ..... and there the dogs the anti bull x people should see before writing off the breed . dazzz 421
Dont know if this has been covered before but i was just pondering at what age a dog can be guaranteed at. Ive been noticing that in the for sale section there are dogs for sale at 18 months old and sometimes younger supposedley guaranteed all quarry. My personal take on this is a dog needs to be at least 3 years old before any sort of guarantee can be placed upon it.Preferably 4 years old if im being honest. All thoughts on this will be much appreciated...atb stabba i think you are getting guaranteed and proven mixed up mate, if somone seels a dog with a guarantee and that dog does exactly what the seller say's, then he is spot on, but it will need a bit longer to prove itself, before it can be a proven dog, just my oppinion thats the way i wuld take it Quote Link to post
