'T' bar

Never used a T bar before, but maybe will this coming season. Im just going to make one myself, can anyone tell me what diameter bar would be best to use? And length?

i tend to use 16mm stainless solid bar,,bit heavy for some but suits me fine.

i usually do them 36" or 48" long with a 15" top

They're excellent tools to have, a few times in the past we've broke through to the side of the terrier when using the B&F on it's own, but if you use a fencing bar or a T-bar as well as the Locator you will break through right on top of them every time. Get your reading on the locator push the bar through and have a listen, you'll hear them clearer the closer you get and you'll find the little b*stard no trouble.

I wont go digging without one! mine is about 4 foot long 15 mm stainless steel, can be used to push in and find tubes where you would normaly miss, real handy bit of kit.

First time i seen one used 1974 never been without one since ,

the old boy that used it could find a terrier, in the right ground
