I guess some people on here dont know what "fit" dogs are.... It is all so different, and matters so much on the terrain you work the animal on. Grass, sand, stubble, rock, slate, clay, babys heads, ruff, bush and so on. Flat ground, hillocks, moor, woods etc...strong dog, skinny dog, meat dog, dry foood dog, all these things mean a different kind of stamina, and running performance.. And then there is the owner! Makes me laugh when you see an over weight bloke, or just a genuine fatty, trying to tell you that his dogs are fit as.. If so, he would be to..Another good indication is the color of the owners face and arms!! ITs been sunny from march till june, most owners with a fit animal would be brown or at least colored a little with a tan. Prime example was at the "flowers pub" terrier and lurcher show in lancs. Where i believe 99% of the guys who go to this one(including some big names off here)are genuine dog lads and know there stuff. Everybody there was brown... You could tell they genuinely worked in the field, didnt look ill, and very few fattys exsisted there...

What a load of shit, some lads walk their dogs, some treadmill & some trot them beside vehicles so I think that blows your theory out of the water. It might have been sunny down your way but it hasn't everywhere in the country & definitely not where I live. Unless you're a weatherman or work for the Met Office you can't generalise for the rest of the country. I don't think you can make assumptions but I'm assuming your gay as you have an unhealthy interest in men with tans :whistling:

THAT'S what i would call fit!!! if you can't see the difference in these dogs you need a guide dog not a lurcher!

You can see 6 ribs on that dog! I think you're back tracking abit pal, there's nowt wrong with any of the dogs on this thread, some better than others. Collie/grey, your dogs look really well

easy getting adog running fit its when its got to chase several big chases sorts the men out from the bhoys pic show adog looks in nice condition, but means nothing after 4 or 5 big runs on game pre ban, feilds are getting cu ttime to get them fit on the stubbles and get ready for september ,i dont like dogs bouncing fit n summer and no were to go with it contradictes what a dogs about

I believe the dog is about 17 months old,, when you have a nervous dog on your hands, the only way to get inside him is correct feeding,

exercise, and schooling, the proof of the pudding is in Sam,, the fitter and stronger the dog got the stronger his confidence grew, only some times he cocks the deaf ear, but improving all the time, I like to keep a dog up, to his mark,, you never know when he will be layed up through injury,, if a dog has worked well for you through the season, by all means let him down, for the summer then in August, start to bring him up again,, (((( but when you take on a nervous dog, zero recall, and I mean zero, the only way is the way I have taken him, and hence the result is what you see in the photo, but in real life he is even better,, and I believe this is a trait in some saluki xs ((( and I only need a dog to fill my pot, and some times for a neighbour,, leave all the big nights to you supreme hunters,, for us old boys we only hunt for what we need,,
