venomviper 129
hi ya everyone well i went to the golf course this evening with the green keeper he wanted to show me were the rabbits where and as it is my new contract i went with him we had a good ride around the course, and there was alot of rabbits staying close to the hedges and alot of squizzers at the bottom of the trees. as we came to the middle of the course there is an island of trees where he see's alot of rabbits all the time this was around 16.00 so i got my stuff sorted and settled down for an hour and there they were the rabbits pop out from everywhere and as the keeper said to me while he was sat drinking my PG tips take the little ones as well i dont want them on here so please take them ones too and as my job is pest control i have to adhere to what he wants not something i like doing but i had to, the picture is off my iphone as the batteries are dead in my camera so i will get the rest up tommorrow evening for use and the damage they have done on the course. this is the first one i took at 25mtrs young i know but still does alot of damage at this age, the rabbit was taken by my tx200hc 177 nice and clean head shot. the rest were all taken around the same distance and one at 40mtrs with my 22 prosport she takes some beating does that prosport. regards shay Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Well done venomviper, Its the young ones at this time of year that do the most damage, so they have to go Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
Good going mate! You have a contractual obligation to rid the course of pests, I wouldn't worry about size to much. As my Father in Law says, at this time of year they're either breeding or planning on it! Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Nice one Shay Great to see that you get to finally put some lead in the head, I know you've been looking forward to it for a good while Think the smallest one I've put down was about five or six inches from nose to tail. That was in the cemetery, where I am going to this evening, assuming the wet stuff stays off. Look at it this way, a small brain is a better test of your Marksmanship skills Look forward to seeing much more of your adventures soon. Take care Phantom Edited April 6, 2010 by Phantom Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Glad things are working out for you mate, I hope to see many more bags as you get out there and reduce the numbers. I'm sure once you settle in they'll have no problem in recommending you Darryl Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
A rabbits a rabbit really, and as others have said, its your job to get them, and if thats what the green keeper wants, he gets! Excellent going tho, and 6 bunnys on the first outting isnt bad at all. Just hope they havent got you sussed out already and hide next time your there! Also, the small-medium rabbits are easier to skin! Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hiya Shay. Well done mate, what a great start on a new permission. The Greenkeeper must have been very impressed with your markmanship, and happy in the knowlage he has somone who knows his stuff, and can help to rid them of the bunnies. I think I'd tell the cheeky sod to bring his own flask next time though......bloody cheek Good luck for the next outing buddy. ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
