  1. I could get realy up to date and get a mark 3 and a fiber glass pole
  2. molly millet great pics looked like a good day, nice to see some one else useing the old stick, how ever Im now moveing with the times and use a fiber glass pole of my quick set long net, we can not stand still but we can still show the young uns a thing or two
  3. not a saluki fan but Im with you SJM, for me there not a lamping dog I know Im going to get slated here but if you want a lamping dog why buy a saluki, yes there are a lot of saluki lurchers that lamp, but they are out and out coursing dogs, but give the dog a chance it will lamp
  4. rew Im stuck in my ways and to tight to buy a mark 3 they say it gets better with use, had some lads in the shop reckon they keep having the collars coming off having to dig to get them back
  5. once bolted a stoat after a battle with a big dog ferret, the ferret was going wild and had to be picked up using a cap, the ferret was usually very steady,and in north yorkshire a long eared owl if I had not seen it my self would not have belived it

  7. abbo same here, good man, the big dog ferret I have also kills and moves on very quickly so I use him in shallow sets and when he spots mark the spot will a stone and follow him on while my mate diggs out the dead rabbit we get a lot of rabbits this way, but only out of shallow sets mainly in sheep fields on the fell
  8. PS I may be an old fart but theres only one locator thats thr mark 1, but Im crap at setting a video and doing any thing but make a call with a mobile

Theres another post from a young lad on here to night wanting addvice on if a locator is needed??? .Me I would not go out with out one or a spade, may leave a dog, gun or nets but not my box, thats just my opinion, I know some lads that never use a locator and never will, but I dont lose ferrets and have to get rid of as many rabbits as possible

    digdeep we have a product in the shop just got a sample on friday cant for the life of me rember what its called but it comes in tablet and liquid form when I go in tomorrow will post the name to you, got it in because one of my old lurcher dogs is a right stayed this time of year, we have to bring him in the house and stay up till after midnight to make sure there are no more fire works. Should ban the f****** things

Corky I wish you the very best of luck with your hunting, but I hope your next post isnt to tell us you lost your ferret, when I first started ferreting far to long ago to want to remember, I never used a bleeper, didnt have the money for one and no one to tell me better.Spent a lot of time sitting waiting for my ferret to come out and banging a spade on the ground trying to get my ferret out, why? because some one told me that was the way to get your ferret to come out, no it dosnt work, hope you can put together the money or wait a little longer till you can get hold of a ferret finder, like

  20. Im looking to stock most thingsin reasonable quantities at first to see how thing go.So far only got live catch rat traps, purse nets, and longnets.

  22. ricky I own a animal feed shop and we stock a lot of work dog and ferreting stuff, since we got the quick set longnets in a lot of young lads are showing a lot of intrest
