  1. I work out of Bristol at the moment. Get £10.75/hour Monday-Friday £12/hour on Saturday and £14/hour Sunday. On a self employed basis through an agency. Don't think that is too bad, and certainly better than pulling pints or similar at £6.20/hour.
  2. Once over a musker had to be over 6 ft if male and 5'8 if female. Fit ' strong and healthy. Nowdays most are quite the oppisite. Fooking Joke. Did anyone see the Policeman in papers around 2 weeks ago ? Someone pop a pic up if they can' he looked around 30 clem ffs That copper is a disgrace! He is obese, if you were to run he would probably have a heart attack. How can you catch criminals if you can't even run? Or walk!! Nowadays round here a stiff breeze would knock the coppers over, don't get me wrong some of them are hard b*****ds but we seem to have a high
  3. Sorry mate. Real guns required. Not overgrown peashooters. I can scream down the M4 with .22LR if needed...
  4. Re: the Mark Duggan part of the post. He was a plastic gangster living in the real world and the real world shot him dead. The sense of community you refer to wasn't a demonstration to Downing Street or charity concerts, it was a free for all smashing in shop windows and looting. That doesn't show solidarity, it shows what sort of people looked up to scum like Duggan. As for the average Joe not caring enough, I don't agree with that. I think most of us are worried about it, but the law seems set to pounce on anyone daring to mention it. I'm terrified of the prospect of being a second class
  5. Apparently he spends most of his time at a desk, but comes out to 'supervise' the events he has organised...
  6. Is that on a permanent contract? The agency I was talking so say on average their drivers invoice for £1k/week on a self employed basis...
  7. What would you call it then? I think they are pretty close when it comes to their own ethnic groupings eg nigerians somalians. Cant see white people reacting in a similar way if one of us was shot by armed police...no matter what circumstances
  8. £13.50 doing what? That sounds a good wage to me. I dont find the driving too hard to be honest...a night security job where i could sit down and do my uni work would be better, but they are all minimum wage...hoping to get into fuel tankers soon. Apparently that is £15+
  9. There will be no mass civil unrest in this country.average white person does not case enough.as long as there are chicken nuggets in the freezer and x factor on telly they do not care...there was a white boy beaten to death in the midlands in 2003 for wandering into a muslim area on the way home from a night out.no one was ever charged with his murder, members of the crowd were sentenced to months (think 30 was longest, will link article when i get home) for public order offences. At least black people seem to have a sense of community as per mark duggan
  10. Must be some well paid paper boys up your way millet. My brother in law works in a feed warehouse and does a few shifts in the cook and barker on a night, but i still earn nearly double what he does per week.i am doing class 1 though...
  11. lol, saw the thread title and expected this to be about the latest trouble in Egypt. Heard on the radio last night that it has all kicked off again. USA has evacuated all non essential diplomatic staff.
  12. My mother came to visit me in Gloucestershire recently (from the north) and after the first day asked me why everyone was talking lie a farmer. The missus is from Notts but has spent the last 7 years teaching is London. She is pretty well spoken, but every so often the odd word or phrase comes out in her native accent. East mids, dunno what the name for it would be. Its like talking to her dad when we come back from a weekend up there. Apparently my Northumbrian comes out when Im angry or lying...
  13. Depends where you are mate. PM me if you prefer... Cumbria Probably get £8.50-£9.50 on a self employed basis. PAYE would be £7.50ish depending on contract. I reckon self employed/own Limited Company is the way forward, you save plenty of money in tax deductible expenses. If you can get the cash together a Class 1 licence will dramatically increase your earning potential. Never worked in Cumbria, so give these guys a ring. http://www.dmldrivers.co.uk/ If you are prepared to move to the Midlands or South West, I know plenty of agencies screaming out for drivers. Class 1
  14. 45-50% of live weight is the standard meat yield of a sheep. The intestines maybe eaten. However with each species there is DEFRA mandated material which must not be consumed (known as SRM or Specified Risk Material). For each species this material must be stained and then disposed of in an approved manner, mainly via a renderer. Burial or disposal in a domestic wheelie bin is not an approved method and so is illegal. Seriously buddy - I was joking about the wheelie bin.... LOL - I know you were. It was meant for anyone else who didn't know. There is already someo

  18. If he gets a % of what the truck earns then I bet he gets a f***ing good wedge if the truck has a good week. My missus father owns his own rig. He does very well out of it, only works the summer. I'm not moaning. Think I get a pretty good rate for the hours I do. As its agency, I can choose when I want to work and when I don't. Make more over a weekend than my brother in law does all week working in a warehouse. And I do the lot, trunking, multidrops, shop runs, shunting. At the minute working for a glass bottle haulier, so have to rope all the pallets individually. Done my fair
  19. No mate agency work is the pits here Sussex isn't a hotbed for haulage and self employed driving atm is to risky.I'm a chef by trade and have a small catering firm specialising in spitroasts for high end events but I'd like to build it up to full time but its seasonal and am trying to get the catering on our local shoots during the season to make it year round work. Yeah that is the problem, demand is localised. If you are prepared to move for the work, I have 3 agencies fighting over me at the moment in Bristol. If you stay in Newark over the winter, you can invoice over £600 per we
  20. The answer is agency work on a self employed basis. I would never do any salary driving, as the hourly rate works out really really low.
  21. I do a lot of HGV agency driving. The forward facing cameras which have been recently fitted to all of the DHL fleet have dramatically cut successful claims against DHL drivers. Cars attempting to overtake on roundabouts is a particular bug bear of mine. I try and limit it now by taking up both lanes approaching the roundabout.
  22. Is it pretty easy to acquire? What with coyote being a pest and all. Do many people run coyotes? I missed the Lumis coyote dog round up by a day a couple of years ago, would love to go one day. How do you go about entering your pups?
  23. Ive been around several places, but they won't sell dog meat unless you are a licenced kennel...
  24. Do you need landowners permission to hunt? Or are you hunting public land?
  25. Re spaniels and foxes, speak to dogs-n-natives about his spaniel boozer (sadly now deceased)
