Feed my beddy whippet on raw from a pup. Have him plenty of goats milk to. Beef mince, chicken mince, tripe and moved him up to wings and chicken necks when he could handle it. You can't go wrong on the raw diet imo. He was a fat little chap on the raw All the best with the pup?

Yeah but an inexperienced dog owner having a dog with collie in could end in disaster. Get it wrong with a collie lurcher and you could end up having a bad experience.imo Not a dig mate?

Agree with this. Lots of lads keep whippets and never feel the need to get a bigger dog. They are pretty laid back and the ones I've been around have been pretty obedient. Probably never gonna be a world beater but probably the best of the bunch for someone new to dogs. Thing is gaz, nobody really needs a world beater, and whippets do very well at most things anyway. I love em You're right they don't, I certainly don't, but you wouldn't get a whippet for big lamping shifts on all types of quarry on all types of ground. That's what I was getting at. Whippets can do more than 5 runs on the lamp. Come on. Seen trev on here's vids. His little whippet puts a proper shift in.

Just after reading the lad from Kents post, what's everyone's view on a beginners running dog. Bit of an all rounder. I'd say a begginer wouldn't go far wrong with a whippet or a whippet based lurcher. Atb

i don't knock him for lack of heart, I'd like to see him fight presscot againOr that kel brook he tweeted whilst Khan was knocked out fight me. Which I though was a bit disrespectful. I think the sort of knockout he took was like being hit twice, first the punch and then when the back of his head hit the canvas. So it's good he got up in one piece

Even though I don't think he should of taken the fight, hats of to him he never ducks a challenge. If it pulled off hes a legend but I'd still call him a true warrior ,he's always ready to fight and really you can't knock him for that. You have to through yourself into the lions den to be remembered and he will be. Imo?
