  1. Yeah ducks love spuds like them most when going rotten
  2. Get to the local chippy and ask for there peelings .
  3. That's not a pond though is it . It's just a flooding I've had better flights on these . That's ideal for flighting . Put feed around the edge for the mallard and teal throw a few hand fulls in the 6/9 inch parts for wigeon etc . Get a dog in for next season and your laughing .
  4. Always have a brew and a sarnie mate always a good time indicator . Then have a bleep .
  5. One of the best dogs I've owned was an accidental brother sister mating . There was no small pups in the litter and all was healthy . Go for it . My bitch was four and the dog 5 by the time I knew the pup was any good . The bitch had died . Was gutted I didn't get a second try at it .
  6. If I was you I'd get a couple any way you never want to put all your eggs in one basket . Not in the terrier game any way . Don't quote me on this because I've never been to America digging . What I've heard wouldn't it be hard to get an alround dog . With the size difference from ground hog to badger . Sometimes you struggle from fox to badger . If I had any pups you would be welcome to one but won't be for a couple of years yet . I'd like to see how they got on in a different country on different quarry .
  7. It will cost the best part of 1200 to get the dog to the states
  8. Put a pic up of the ponds that might help .
  9. Now your just showing off ha ha . Looks great that
  10. f**k sake lads stop the slagging got loads here . Was going to cash them in pull me out the shit in January month . I think the blokes a legend and a top class writer . ANY BODY WANT TO BUY SOME MAGS
  11. Brilliant griff . And shows what an honest bloke you are . Not in it for the money etc . Thanks for sharing .
  12. I bet if you made a few and took them to a local game fair they would sell really well .
  13. Could you buy me one too, I'll do you a good deal on the wreath ?Ha ha ha
  14. Yeah very nice I just need to buy a nice country home to put it in ha ha .
  15. Don't think it's asking to much . Great piece of work . Don't think the pic does the size justice . Keep them coming there looking really good
  16. I've always found the wind puts them to ground more than the cold and rain .
  17. I normally go once every two week . Or by what the weathers doing . If you going tomorrow evening go at half 4 wait around and have a count in see what's coming in . Stand back from the pond though because you don't want to desturb them once there on . But of wind and rains always a good night to go . As I say I'm no pro but these things have been working for me .
  18. Feed it up . Get there as it's getting dark try sitting with the wind hitting your back . If you can put a hide up then get one up . If you can't then either lay down or kneel . I'm not allowed to put a hide on my splash so kneel . Aslong as you stay really still should be ok . Any movement to early they'll see it . If you've already got a few feeding on it then you should have a good few days before end of season . Good luck let us know how you get on . Get some pics up of the ponds maybe people with a lot more experience could give you some pointers . Quite new to it my self .
  19. Bellman brings a bit more to the table but ss doesn't .
  20. Don't think you need ss or bellman . Any decent saddlery place should be able to make top quality collars leads etc . I do like bellmans leather work . But I've always used my local saddlery place . You can then state what you exactly want then if it's wrong then it's your own fault .
  21. I've never really liked the lurcher or terrier collars tbh . (Although he is a decent bloke to deal with ) . Don't think you can beat a good quality leather with brass couplers . And the old pit bull type snap clips .
