  1. Dug to him quite a few times good dog when he got there took a long time healing you used to hear the ground go thud when he met his quarry
  2. Depends on the labs coat if the labs got a good jacket on it like it should have there shouldnt be a problem but again like you say I've seen some that have come out like heinz 57 dogs don't forget most labradooles are just bred for money so most of them are bred from a shite lab to a shite poodle and its not till they get older that they look a twat
  3. No i totally agree with you and understand what your saying i can't see why they won't make the grade I've seen enough now to know there good enough to do the job also like the good jackets they carry i also believe along as the working back grounds there and you put the time in there shouldn't be many problems as we all know nothing garenteed I've seen my fair share of shite labs cockers springer etc
  4. Yeah true but i don't like the size of the labs I've been looking at there all like whippets i thought why waste 600 on a stud fee when i know i want like the pup when i could use a good strong standard poodle for free
  5. Most of the dogs in the UK have bull in them any way i like the dogs looks like a dog that could handle a days work not not like half of the little rats over here aslong as your happy with him mate that's all that matters half of them on here have never seen a dog like that never mind handled one and if they did get the opportunity they most prob wouldn't know what to do with it keep us updated on his progress please
  6. Just bred my working lab bitch to a standard poodle important keeping one back to work the sire is a really good wildfowling dog also picks up regular ill put a thread up of how the pup gets on if she takes ill be beating decoying and wildfowling so it will be well tested

    What Breed?

Got to be a hpr breed gsp gwp or brittany if I was you
  15. Ive seen good in all hpr at trials and in the field dont think you can go wrong with any of them aslong as you put in the ti we work gsp's under falcons and gos's and also shoot over them a friend of mines got some italian spinone and they work really well and swim stronger than my lab if any one wants gwp that rory major hes a trailing man he likes his gwp hes got decent stud dogs some times pups etc
  16. Sounds to me like you need to slow him/her down a bit in stead of doing a stright retrieve id get them to pick the ball then instead of letting them come straight back to you get them to walk at heal and do some figure 8 then sit them and take ball out only praise if they keep hold of it just ignore if they drop it it takes time but they get the hang of it
  17. Ive had a good bitch stay till dug too and real good nose ill try find me pics of her from15 year ago she was quite strong for a bitch too .ive found with the kc ones same as the welsh there as game as they come but dont really make the grade they will always make good bushing ratting dogs coz theres lots of action but when it comes to the nitty gritty of digging on and working things out I dont think theyve got the prey drive
  18. Give him time mate slow maturing like said before there under estimated alot of people try comparing them to a springer and there tottaly different I prefere them more steady with just as much drive if you get what I mean and you dont see them as much is he from working lines
  19. Its been a long time ive seen one of the that in right condition fair play to ya mate
