  1. It doesn't get much better than eating pot noodles on Ellington pit tip playing a mouth organ than sounds like a didgeridoo!
  2. Thanks!! I'll not bother watching the other 7 episodes then!! I have to make do with antiques road trip with Doris instead Lol..
  3. Freezing my nuts off under the shed getting ballbagged.. Some gay candles on for nice ambience!
  4. It's on Netflix. Anyone else watched it?? I've just watched the second one today.. there's 9 episodes. So far.. my overview of it is that it looks like a load if gypsies have won the lottery. He's got metal health issues, which we all know, and many people have to one degree or another... but that probably explains why he still choses to live in Morcombe!! Lol.. Any comments/thoughts folks??
  5. Proper living that is Mac!! I'll look forward to you going and see the pics and hear how you get on ect. Let me know if you bump into a couple of lesbians with Nottinghamshire accents fannying about on mountain bikes too please whilst you're out there!!
  6. Fair play to you mate.. that looks absolutely stunning scenery. 105 miles in owd vonga is still a decent yomp and then there will be some elevation included in that too. I know you mentioned getting a tent. Are you planning on camping the whole route or mixing it with the odd night of luxury and some nice food?? Lol..
  7. Absolutely mate! Mac.. put a link up when you've got a minute please for that big hike you're doing in Italy next year. I'll have a proper nosey at it... cheers.
  8. Bloody hell!! Is sure is a small world as they say!! On that front.. my sister in Italy who's met a woman over there running a small restaurant. This lady's daughter and husband moved from Essex up north to the small ex mining town i live in!! Apparently they find in funny when they get called flower!! Lol... bloody crazy eh mate!!
  9. Nothing too much really. But this popped up on my YouTube yesterday. A couple of the big names that do the camping vids pitched up at the exact same spot I used on Kinder a few weeks ago when I knackered my ankle up! No massive coincidence I suppose but I enjoyed seeing the spot again after that eventful night!! Lol..
  10. Naahhh.. they're the real deal pal!! He's Devon's very own Gino D'Acampo!!
  11. Always like you food pics Arry... nice colours, no shadows.. and cropped to perfection!! It doesn't go unnoticed mate!! Lol..

  14. Thanks mate.. yes, totally agree. She been at it for years. Done loads of solo stuff off the west coast of Scotland an inner Hebs. When she's not teaching and doing D.O.E she bolt's upto Scotland.. usually Cairngorm's hiking and skiing when possible. I tell her she might as well move up there!! Lol..
  15. Yes.. I had a quick look into it Mac and from what bit I read it didn't seem like the bears were a threat to humans but goes to show doesn't it!! I won't tell her about the hiker being killed until she's back home!! Good question about the distance they've covered.. I don't actually know but I'll find out. They've had some problems picking the trail up and had to turn back on themselves after climbing for ten miles. They've settled in a village I think and are having a few rides out from there by the sounds of it. They don't go with a strict plan as such.. just wing it type of thing but b
  16. Couple more... I think they alternate between camping out and then getting a room for a night with a shower when they get a bit minging!
  17. My big sis and her mate had their first wild boar encounter a few nights back camping out on their Italian adventure lol... I told them to keep an eye out for the Wolf's, Lynx and Bears.. don't worry about the bears too much I said.. there's only around 50-60 of them kicking about!!
  18. Don't get caught in any friendly cross fire mate!!
  19. Fingers crossed mate.. she might oppen up for you later!!
  20. My two daughters delivered the goods today for a change. Off school and time on their hands I guess! Eldest one did the Lasagne and the youngest did the blackberry crumble. I was impressed and surprised they'd actually been blackberrying! When I mentioned that to them one replied.. "No dad, we got them from Lidl.. they were on sale"!! I give up honestly!!
  21. Ahh! Thanks Mac.. I guessed right then for once! I always get an invite from her. I've got a bike that would be fine but i don't fancy buying all the racks and bags and stuff to do the bike packing thing just once or twice a year. The oder I get I'm becoming a less is more type bloke lol.. She's a teacher and goes up into Scotland pretty much whenever school is closed! I don't know why she doesn't move up there to be honest!
  22. My sister and her mate are on a bike packing holl in Italy. https://bikepacking.com/routes/alta-via-dei-monti-liguri/ This is part of a message she sent me. Anyone got any ideas what what's been making that noise in the night?? Lol.. I guessed Marmot.. first thing that came into mind but she said they weren't high enough up.. only at 550 metres. Any ideas folks to save me Googling all night!! That was where they pitched.. Nordisk Telemark tents for anyone interested..
