    Fair play to you mate.. i don't mind addmitting it but i think I'd struggle in these temps. What do you wear in the bag Zandy when it's this cold? Just base layers? Just curious about it.. i read somewhere you've got to let your body heat escape into the bag for it to work properly. Also going for a brisk walk to generate some body heat before turning in can help with getting warm in the bag quicker. Makes sense i suppose!!...?

    Dusted the Altbergs off ready for Saturday. Luckily I noticed just the other day that I'd nicked the new insoles out of them in the summer for my work boots!! New insoles literally through the door ten minutes ago!! Job done. Quality boots these.. just wish they had a rand around the toes.. does get battered that area. And they're a bit fckn heavy too!!?

    Absolutely mate!! All being well I'm trucking 3hrs North on Saturday to meet up with her and go for decent yomp in the Lakes. Doable from here but a long day. Done it a good few times now and also to have a day with a fell pack or two in the past. It's surprising what you can cram into a day if you try. Hopefully be home for the footy and and a we'll earned sup!!..?

    Had some mint times ratting when we were kids. Had an Albino hob that always wanted to eat the rat's it killed. It killed one under my granddads shed once.. filled it's belly then went to sleep under there for 4 day's!!?

    Been busy with the family matey. Had my 48 Yr old space cadet sister down from up north. She's full on 100 mph bless her!!? Proper outdoorsy though and does loads of hiking.. wild camping bike packing the lot!! Lol.. Had a nice walk around Hardwick on Saturday. Lunch and a pint at the Hardwick Inn. Was spot on to fair mate. Big sis!!?? She was back up home on Sunday and walking in the Lake District...? Bloody nut case I tell you!!

    Anyone got any experience of using water filters?? I think they'd be a cracking bit of kit to take on a wild camp.. especially when it's hot weather. It's surprising how much water you can drink on a 6/7 hr hike on a hot day and the weight and room it takes up could become an issue on an overnighter with a decent treck each side of it. Obviously a bit of planning beforehand to make sure you pass a streem or tarn or whatever. Lots of different types of these filters i see!! This looks nice and packable though....
