  1. My sister and her mate are on a bike packing holl in Italy. https://bikepacking.com/routes/alta-via-dei-monti-liguri/ This is part of a message she sent me. Anyone got any ideas what what's been making that noise in the night?? Lol.. I guessed Marmot.. first thing that came into mind but she said they weren't high enough up.. only at 550 metres. Any ideas folks to save me Googling all night!! That was where they pitched.. Nordisk Telemark tents for anyone interested..
  2. Looks like you've had a quality day out there TOMO.. fair play to you both mate. Better than my day shopping with the females in Chesterfield and the highlight was a mixed grill in spoons at Bowser!! Lol..
  3. No idea mate.. i didn't want to risk it so ran my weaner through em instead!!
  4. I don't drink tea so I'm not sure how accurate this is..
  5. I found these yesterday Arry.. Are they eaters do you know??
  6. Looking a bit beige mate so I gave it a tweek!! Does look tasty mind! My Mrs puts brocoli on just about everything. Apparently it's a 'speed' food.. something to do with the slimming world bollocks!
  7. 6 of them... get ready for the divorce!!
  8. Same here matey.. if you haven't had them for a while it is a belting sup...
  9. Nice Stav!! At least it is genuine imported stuff unlike my San Miguel brewed down the road from here At Burton-upon-Trent!!
  10. Where in the world are you Mac?? Seaham?? Lol..
  11. I've just my roped my eldest daughter into knocking these lamb Kebabs up. Took her ages trimming the fat off.. I feel like I stitched her up!! Lol.. Look too nice to cook!!
  12. Absolutely mate! My eldest turned 18 just a few weeks ago and i put an album together for her.. 0-18. I had to trawl way back through old laptops and tablets and hardrives for the early pics and I found some belting videos from when she was younger and I wish I'd took more whilst I could and capture those moments and memories because they don't half soon grow up!
  13. Looks bloody grand as owt that pal! Nice that the lad let's you take his pic bless him.. my two teenagers are not so willing theses days unless their hair is perfect and that. I usually get.. "dad you've got no chance"! Lol..
  14. Really nice part of the Thames there at Sonning. Glen Hoddle, Theresa May live there and George Clooney has a place there too. We walked it from there down into Reading a few years back. Nice boat you've got there anyway and i hope you get a bender sorted soon!!
  15. It's wise Mac.. very wise to pick up something like that, especially for what you'll be doing. I can share my real time location when I'm out on a bike ride from my Wahoo but you do need a signal. Same as my garmin watch. Its handy for if my Mrs ever has to recover me out of a hedge bottom or to see when I'm half an hour away and to get tea going! Lol.. I might try the budget option location detection device.. a Dora the Explorer helium balloon on a ten 10 mtr string tied to the rucksack! Small LED light optional upgrade!! F@@k.. I am really bored!!
  16. Cheers pal.. yes I'm 46 now and been going up there since a mid teenager and never had an accident. I did have a signal in some bits I remember clocking in with the Mr's and kids after I'd pitched up but yes, totally agree mate those batman phones that work off the satellites without a phone signal are priceless. I should have a look into them seeing as I've got nowt else to do other than being sat around all day scratching my knackers!!
  17. I know mate.. I feel a right nobber! Was supposed to be hitting the Lakes for a 2 nighter this month but that's on the back burner for now. Hopefully be back out in September finger's crossed! I'm thinking about the pack weight that could be a problem when the time comes.. don't know anyone with a Yak for hire do you?! Lol..
  18. That is what the fckers are scared of happening! Afraid of water so won't go on a massive barge but they were OK to cross the channel on an overloaded poxy little dinghy ffs!!
  19. It fcking was mate and I don't mind admitting it. Funny thing was later on I settled down in the tent to try and get some kip.. I couldn't find my head torch. So i had to crawl back out to where I fell using my phone light and there my head torch was on the floor. I'd gone down that hard it must have just flown off ffs!! Lol..
  20. Aye!! I'm hoping I'll be back a week today so just the 2 weeks off. See how it goes mate. I feel hard to being off for 2 weeks and the weather has been shite!!
  21. Had the Xray. No break. Just ligament damage. 6 to 12 weeks to fully heal. Excellent!! Anyone want to buy a tent?? Lol...
  22. That walk back to Edale with the f@@ked ankle.. probably hardest thing I've had to do! Had to cross here.. And go down here. That's where I fell going down!! Lol..
  23. Yes.. it was all going well until about 11:30 that night. I was out round the other side of the rock with my head torch off, goofing out at a cluster of lights in the distance trying to work out where they where. I turned around and took a step and fell straight down a f@@king hole. Rolled my left ankle.. I actually heard the ligaments rip when it went! Crawled back to the tent to have a look. I honestly didn't know what I was going to see.. it was f@@king painful I don't mind admitting!! I managed a few hrs kip but started packing up at 4:30 am and I was hobling along an inch at a
  24. Filtered water up there to save weight and room in the pack. Some nice Kinder brown!! Thought I'd lost a peg so improvised.. found out when packing up I'd put 2 pegs in together..
  25. Just going back to the camp I had on my own week ago last Saturday. Started really well. Nice, but hard walk out. Hot, steep and plenty of files doing their best to p@ss me off!. Even though I knew how to get to where I'd got in mind, I used the Komoot app to plan a route and it suggested using some trails I'd not walked before so seen that as a positive. I found a YouTube video of someone camping in the same spot so I nicked a screen shot of his drone footage. Nice little spot to be fair, about as good as you'll get along the north edge of Kinder Scout..
