  3. I’ve no idea, only ever burn kiln dried logs/kindling and the odd bucket of smokeless fuel - never overload or over fire the stove... Got a new piece of glass cut today for it but I’ll be keeping an eye out in future for any signs or cracks...
  4. Went to bed last night with only embers glowing, came down this morning and got a canny shock...

  9. This Doctor was an obsessive hoarder, my wife had to visit his house with work, she said every room in the huge house was stacked high with all sorts of stuff and had to squeeze through tiny corridors and then she entered an office, captains desk in middle and surrounded by filled custom bookshelves from floor to ceiling and not a thing out of place, absolutely pristine in this one room... His lucky nephew inherited the house abs everything in it - have a read and see the surprise... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1103849/The-eccentric-uncle-left-garage--containing-6m-Buga
  10. The estates and areas we have been working are mainly terraces houses with lanes to rear, gates at each end of lane are 10ft high with razor wire on top, huge industrial sized wheelie bins in all lanes which are emptied twice a week but most residents can’t even be bothered to use the bins, they just throw all their shite over the wall and leave the council to clean up after them.... We worked at Thornaby and they didn’t even have bins, the council workers came with huge 4 wheeler barrows, filled them and dumped at end of lane, wagon then came and collected... I never ever thought in this
  11. I would say they need to walk over to access the gate to the lane and bins but by looks of it they just throw it straight out the door...
  12. That photo above looks just like the area where I’m working, back lanes are piled 6ft high with rubbish... We see loads of rats scurrying about everyday, all kinds of rubbish, human waste, furniture - you name it, all just gets thrown out into the street, lane or garden/yard... I appreciate that’s it’s a disadvantaged area but there’s just no excuse for the state of how they treat it, every race, colour and culture are mixed and in together. Top of the range Merc’s, BMW’s, Audi’s and Rangerovers parked in front street outside every other house, eating takeaways most days/nights, smo
  13. How can people live like this ??? Went to work this morning to take a dividing wall down and rebuild (for a housing association), said morning to the neighbour and her daughter as they setting off for school, went through empty house, set trestles and boards up, get up and looks over in to said neighbours yard to see this.... Filthy, dirty, stinking lazy b*****ds - how could you just through all this shit out your back door and carry on as normal... Beggars belief and dread to think what the inside of house is like.

  15. Ha ha... creased me up... Nah, not for no images of Shrikes, should put some effort in really to be fair, there’s been a masked shrike showing at Hartlepool and a Lesser Grey shrike on Holy Island past couple days...

  17. A stunning Mediterranean bird arrived on our shores at the weekend and i made the 200 mile round trip to see and photograph it, obviously off course, more than likely due to strong winds and a slight lack of coordination this beautiful bird ended up in West Yorkshire, feeding on grubs and mites at the grounds of a cricket club...
