I was unaware this to be the legal stance .. l will admit, being a shotgun shooter in the main l automatically, "wrongly it would appear" to have assumed shooting fowl with lead was illegal .. so l retract my post with my tail between.my legs ... l.personally only would consider taking geese with a shotgun, but each to their own .. atb

ILLEGAL to despatch fowl with lead in England ...

My face isnt red CC .. l dont doubt your intentions were genuinely well meant "though dangerous" ...what spoilt you're stance was when you started to fabricate claims ...the fact you drone on about the rifle you have never owned makes you enertaining, though totally pointless ... but if it floats your boat, crack on telling people advice that you grasped from a notion. I dont doubt you know your way around anair rifle, ld guess you actually know more about air rifle than safety .. a dangerous mix... so Charles ... which of your two purchased Walther R8's has the most dangerous of trig

More utter ďross "not toally unexpected" Make a claim know to Walther, you are openly and publically suggesting their trigger arrangement is potentially dangerous .. Walther vs an Airgun tinker'er from blighty lol Out of interest purely ! ... which of the triggers on your newly purchased Walther Rotex RM 8 " .177 calibre " and Walther Rotex .22 calibre "did you deem the most potentially dangerous .. l'm presumming you have both from new. Regards diy modification such as yours, that potentially could result in an unexpected discharge .. And your happy to peddle unproven, non certif

Dismal trigger .. utter dross !! ... and a potentially dangerous unautherised modification .. tinkering with triggers is something best left to gunsmiths and manufacturers .. a bit of knowledge is dangerous.

Just a single barrel Baikal. Good guns Baikal ... I've a 12 bore single in the back of the cabinet. My .410 is the old Webley bolt action ..lve had the occasional notion to get hold of a moderator and hopefully it would be quiet enough to use around the barns. Seen the youtube video regards the 9" hushpower mod being fitted to a single. Ideally ld like to pick up a secondhand one .. lm not totally convinced it would quieten it enough for me to use, as mentioned near to the farm buildings ? I find the Eley furlong 12.5g quieter than the Lylevale 14g (both 2.5") .. Lylevale hit h

Walshie, what .410 do you have it on mate .. atb

Butt pad screw are no problem what so ever regards the QF stud, there is ample clearance .. regards to the front fitting you have two choices. One drill the forend or mount via bottle clamp ... taking the stock off takes all of 4-5 minutes ... there is a youtube video that actually explains were best to drill and what size drill bits to use ... absolute doddle

They will be okay.... leave the long range one out... l'd concentrate on the Drakes also ..

I've the Webley bolt action .410 ... been thinking about fitting the 9" moderator to it. If there is anyone looking to move on a moderator for a reasonable price l'd be interested in buying it ... my email is ... petermedic999@gmail.com

Daystate Huntsman
hoggysreels replied to logan esq's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Ive used a Daystate Huntsman ... all.l will say is they are a premier piece of kit ... if l had the spare dosh, l'd look no further .. accurate as the very best on the market, and smooth with it... -
Had one a couple of months ... absolutely made up with it ... probably put 2k pellets down the spout. Not a single problem, infact, the more use, the smoother the bolt action, its a slick mechanism. Not the lightest pcp on the market, on par weight wise with HW 100. If your after a lightweight pcp the like of both aforementioned wont fall into that catagory. Walther is a fine German rifle manufacturer, as are AA, Daystate etc. Lots of opinions have been expressed by non owners of the R8 and those that haven't used one, but you get that on the internet .. ultimately, you needed to shoulder

I Need A Shotgun In My Life!
hoggysreels replied to clarkhirstphoto's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Ive a few shotguns, one being an old AYA Yeoman ... they're a reliable, nice handling sbs shotgun. You will need to use steel for the duck, well non lead more accurately, but steel is the more frequently used. Yeoman are okay with "standard steel" 70mm cartridges. Whatever you choose, stick with it for a while. Switching between OU & SBS is okay after you have gained experience, but early days, it can mix you up a bit. I use OU, SBS and bolt action shotguns, and its fair to say, lm a master of none lol ... l've just never got into rifle "bullet" shooting, except when l was in -

I Need A Shotgun In My Life!
hoggysreels replied to clarkhirstphoto's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Rifles are good fun, but aerial targets are the ultimate imho, and shotgun are the tool for the job .. a fast crossing mallard on a wind swept day is a challenge to behold ... -
Only just seen this video ... well done lads! .... any chance of a 20 bore vs 28 bore .. same format? ... atb

Worth a watch if you're considering the Walther R8
