and it needs to be in place for awhile to let the rabbits get used to it being there, its no good setting it up one afternoon and hoping to use it the same night Y.I.S Leeview I sometimes cut timber poles and knock into the ground in front of the hedge or burrows i am going to net for a few days or even a week before i set the net, then just change the poles for the drop net, its worked for me and if any one takes the timber pole you have lost nothing. Don't know anything about that. I don't sell 'em I've passed a few onto some people on here at cost, but I don't really want to get into that side of things because of the postage costs and the only shop that sells a reasonable quality trap at a reasonable price only has a few in stock at any one time. Exactly the same product in other local shops of the same chain are €2 more expensive I keep buying a few pairs every time I pass as I use loads and I'm intending to drop thirty or so pairs off at my Brother-in-Law's when I come over in November so he can sell them on eBay and keep the m -

Good luck with that, I’ve heard a couple of people say the same thing recently. Tell you what I reckon though; the people who now want to do more trapping for ecological or job satisfaction reasons are soon going to have their ranks swelled by a lot of cowboy pesties who don’t have or won’t take the qualification they’ll need to buy 2nd gen anticoagulants next year. Just my personal prediction you understand, but I think trapping is about to become a massively overbooked profession. I do agree....luckily for me a have a well paid full time job, and pest control is really enjoyable

the sooner this program is over the better for anyone involved in pest control.Did the lady controlling the mice ask the home owner if she wanted the bait leaving in place after the job was complete ?? or did i hear that wrong, and the rabbit control !!!!! iwm

The time has come to document every thing you do even if the pest control you do is unpaid. If you work in pest control for a living its just part of your daily routine, but if its just for sport you might need to think about a diary or some kind of report. If you are using mk4s for rats and catch a rabbit and you have recorded you actions and how /where your trap is set and your target, you should be ok?. I know it will be a pain in the ass!! but its the way it is now, too many people with cameras who think they know more than anyone. You are not the first to catch something you did not set th

The one i have in the van will not set and feels very weak dont think i would risk it !!, I can push the pens through it with one hand. iwm

I have one of these i now use it to hold all the pens and pencils in the van Iwm

If i did the work on the city farm i would have reduced the number of pigeons with live catch traps before netting the chicken run but everyone has a way of doing things and the owners did not like the idea of culling any vermin but sometimes you need to educate people. IWM

Matt would have told you that right up to the point where he became totally disillusioned with the pest control industry and decided to concentrate on moles I do mainly farm work with a few garden jobs thrown in. A few years ago, it was the other way around; but I've got a system for the farms now and enjoy it too much to go back to general pest control... Sure, I get cold, wet, muddy and knackered........ but.......... I love it. Money? Well, I do OK, but probably work harder for less money than I did. One thing I've learned in the last few years is that there are more import

The Ultimate Duffus trap & (D)Evolution Of The Duffus Trap
iwm replied to Nicepix's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Be careful - before you know it, you start to dream about them and others can consider your interest in rust and chains to be quite unhealthy! Most think pest control is a strange job so a few more strange looks is water of a ducks back. iwm -

The lad works for a fencing manufacture but we only had use of one machine for an hour or so on a sat mornings so not sure what the other machines can do, but when you are trying to ask someone who is not interested in any form of pest control or hunting to help they soon give up. IWM
