Good going fm. A big dog to handle and temperament to handle around a situation like that with a electric fence. I bought a pup once but sold it too a lad I knew, it was his first lurcher and I had a couple of dogs at the time. Sire Hancock called shooting news, the man said and he had the mother a pure deerhound Ardindlas, a worker he said, a man in n Wales, he was stuck with a big litter at the time. The lad who had the pup was no serious Hunter but had some rabbit, hare, young Fox, mogy while out wandering with him walking around. Big dog, never heard nothing of the others.

If the young dog has never found before then it's a whole new starting curve for it, if it's game and flying say in through earth's then at least that part is not a problem. It should find if it wants to or has the capability that is always required. Whether it be any good is another matter

And sorry for for the totally wrong talk and comments the other week, I'd been out for the day, hunting, had a all right day out and bit of experience but got nothing but no problem. I came home had a feckn drink and sent me head horrible, out of order. As for pk I only heard of him, probably from jealous people. He can't be bad, I knew a stranger to him got a strong Russell, only tried it once and didn't work, give it a end of dig, hard dog and sold it on to his man a big peddler.

The some who say the only try them once or twice and same guy who hardly have them out before hand, the must only expect what the once knew or saw. The need time as the can make mistake, but as you said with some ways you'd be questioning the dog, ( so to speak).

I mean like you said, if you were relayn your dog from one another everyweek in relay what type of c**t of you and dog would you have. And dont say me, mine are goin ok. The mates couple of season work, but the none that.

U know yourself you should check after with a dog you think you know. And yes some just need a starting curve for them to be ready and make good dogs.

Yes i would try the experienced dog if he was still wanting after seeing the first season promising keen worker come out But you know yourself if one had been with game and u knew , it woudn be right or fair to try another, either way . It like a fresh or new man in the ring. Not right on man or animal.

I think they or some and not saying one is better than the other can make a mistake. The young dog first and second season , you might see it going well to the extreme, but the could be room for mistake in finding as not like the more experienced dominating dog , who knew all well whats up their, and iam not on about a dog whos had easy game , but experienced game ,start to finish . The first season dog had to work for it!

Rabbit purse nets along time ago, a daft home made rabbit snares and some better ones,feck all in em except one or so of the old bushing dogs caught inside the briars. I man took me too his burrows a couple year back( top hunter he was lecturing) .as he walk down the wood he went over,proper snared on his wellies.the was about 30 , Fox snares round it.
