  7. I rarely read books and detest crufts, the facts are that many a terrier was bred to graft and then bred to be breed specific to its location and the nearest thing to a Patterdale is a Black and Tan terrier and not a Black un,something i never learnt from a book,Middleton and his mucker recounted that to me in an Ale house,i paid the beer tab for my education. The amount of Russels about now that are breed specific and owe more to their Black and Tan Ancestry, something else i never read yet learnt in the same pub that Middleton sold one of his white Lakeys to Gouldy.Ive visited many a village,it

  9. Seen them work for quite a few seasons, and close by. I've also heard a lot of the other genuine packs speak very well of them and also a man from England who saw great packs up and down the country from a child very impressed
  10. Some mixed dogs, what was the two in your arms, the black and white one and the small black one. And who was spider and what was it, heard of something year's ago, like the main dog with heads. A man I know once bought a black dog off the same crowd, but the were at the Wigan show about thirty years ago, the had two for sale, adult but young, he bought the black dog, they had it named spider, he called it spike, it been ruined young, etc, he got it working again after a while of looking after him and taking it out. It was a thin leggy, thick coated, like a fox terrier face
  11. Yes saw him on foot, and the dogs, very good, and has a good name for his hunting. He wasn't in it for the kills what I knew but thats how good of a pack he kept

  17. It's all about survival, and nowadays some foxes wouldn't have fear of humans, etc, and maybe if the weren't hunted the be green to other things. Some Fox would try and kill a dog to ground, or be giving more than it taking, some, not all, yes we've all seen them bolt one way or another, even of the dog going in or the smell of the feret going down, all foxes are different, the a wild or urban, or mixed animal

Ns was not in it for the money, from what I know
