Cheers lads.i'll maybe take it a bit easier.she has retrieved a couple half grown rabbits that I've thrown for her after my other dog has caught them.so she can do it.a need to remember she still very young. I'll defo try a bit tug of war Gaz.cheers

Up till the weekend training with my young pup was coming along brilliantly.especially the retrieving part.she was bringing the dummy back straight to hand.i started making the retrieves longer,and she would happily retrieve the dummy from about 50/60yrds,although I could only get about 3/4 good retrieves before she started messing about.so been keeping it short.ive been out with her nearly every night but since Sunday it's like she's never done it before.running right past me,going round in circles and the odd time she looks like she is bringing it back she drops it about 3 or 4 yards short o

Was just annoyed because I was told she had been wormed since 2wk old and these were big.tbh her belly doesn't look as swollen this morning and there has been nothing else in her poo.

Do you think I should worm her again or leave it the 2 weeks ? 3 came out and they appeared to be dead. She has done the toilet since and there was no sign of any in that one.

I've just picked up a pup and she has roundworm.apparently she has been getting wormed since 2/3weeks old.i had my suspicions as soon as I got her in the car.im home now and the second time she went to the toilet there was roundworm in her shit.she was wormed when I was there this morning.they don't seem to be moving.any advice before I take her to the vet on Monday?raging.cheers

I'd just like to say it's not just time wasters who phone and promise to buy pups but don't turn up etc.ive been badly let down by somebody who promised me a pup of the exact breeding I wanted.he seemed totally genuine and I was prepared to drive a 13hr round trip for this dog.no money changed hands but now I'm not so sure there even was a litter.i had spoken to him on the phone a few times.but now weeks before I thought I was getting my pup he will not answer the phone or reply to a txt msg.but I know for a fact he's been on Facebook.absolute wa**er!!i had looked for the right pup since the b

I did look at other crosses.i need something a little bigger(not to big 22/23)and something that can take more knocks simply because of some of the ground I work.but I also want something with the same temprement as my whippet about the house etc.defo a lurcher with collie in.so I decided on whippet x colliexgrey.been looking since the end of last year with no luck yet.

I got charged for ferreting 2 yr ago. Came back from a weekend away today to find out my oldest Jill has died.gutted.but at 10yr old she lived a brilliant life with me after I took her in at just under 3yr old from somebody that said she was useless and couldn't work and we're going to get rid of her.after a little bit work she turned out to be a great wee worker for me and I only retired her last winter.RIP dora
