Just back in from a couple hours out with the whippet.what a nightmare he had tonight.i gave him 8/9 slips,some long,some short,1 squatter but he never bagged any of them.the squatter was a black one,sitting tight,ran straight up to it the pulled away as if he didn't think it was a rabbit right at the last min,then went for it.he got caught in a fence when putting a strike in,he just wasn't on the ball tonight.so back home,he's got a gash out his side and his face all scratched to bits.think he'll be sore in the morning.still learning I suppose.sometimes I think I expect to much from him as it

Some dog will attach themselfs to one person tho and would run through a brick wall for them.then if the dogs gets sold because some peoples circumstances change.the dog might not do feck all for its new owner and could be a different dog than it was before.always a big gamble paying prices like that

Wind got up so I thought I'd take the pup over the fields at the back of my house to see the older dog have a run or 2.see what it's all about.prob 1st and last tbh cos she whinned and moaned and even had a yap when he was running.only let her watch 2 runs,got the first one and after a cracking run just missed the second.if the field hadn't been so sodden he'd have got that aswell I'm sure.suppose the pup got to have a look but don't think I'll take her out again to watch cos I defo could be doing without her being mouthy.she'll just have to wait another few months yet to get her turn.on a br

Don't know about the tics.but regarding the rabbits with tape worm,I was always under the impression that 2/3weeks in the freezer kills any other eggs/parasites.ive always done this then fed the rabbits to the ferrets with no problems.

Thanks for the ideas. Ended up having pan fried goose breast with a red current ju,home made roast tatties and veg.was superb

If this is the first mixy rabbit you've seen and have been walking you're dogs there all through the summer I wouldn't worry too much about it especially just coming into winter.you tend to see a hell of a lot more mixy through the warmer months when the warmer weather is more suited to the fleas that carry the disease and they are more active.chances are there's maybe been a few had it through the summer.nowadays when rabbits get it in places it doesn't necessarily mean a total wipe out of all the rabbits cos some of them can fight it I'm sure(could be wrong).i wouldn't worry about it too muc
