  1. Might just be a sore mine had the same from sunburn after a couple weeks the pink disappeared
  2. I've tried the sand method the sand needs to be slightly damp to hold the shape of the tube but not wet as said. I found it not very good as the sand is cold and the lead sets quickly and u end up with a hollow tube most of the time buy a 10 mm fishing ball lead mould cost me 10 or 15 quid if you want ovals give them a donk with a hammer or just use rebar cut at angles sharp as feck and quite heavy for its size
  3. Yep I've got one just as good as any other out there if you not casted before be carefull go out and buy some wielding gauntlets

  8. Trust me if you have one local go to wilkinsons and buy [BANNED TEXT] hex nuts or m10 hex nuts from the DIY pick an mix bit fill a good size bag for £2 cheap and very good

  13. This catty I found earlyer just needs oil and a final protective spray coat This is the other one This is a small split in the wood I don't think it will get any worse I filled it with epoxy this catty just needs a few finishing touches oil and poly coat

  15. Are you after a natural ? Or a bord cut catty ? I have a really nice natural with a small imperfection that will no way cause any problems while shooting I'd happly use it myself you can have it banded up for £5 plus postage prob be about £3 p&p or you can have with no bands for a £5er posted just need to oil up and a spray coat before I send it out pm if interested
  16. I've tryed flame baking I've found it's not very good it just chars the wood then I wipe with a rag and it all comes straight off maybe I need to leave it over the flame for ages how long do you do yours ?

  19. Nearly done pouch made bands cut catty oiled up just need to get polyurethane spray give a few coats and post ;-) so is everyone up for doing it all again ? I hope so making for someone else really forces you to iron out those little imperfections you could live with if it's just for yourself I just hope he likes it ;-)

  21. If this thread is for the benifits of new starters it might be an idea to let them know the short hand ie pfs sps ttf and so on can be quite confusing for a newbie I'm just getting my head around it now :-)
