  1. Good call, wouldn't be surprised if some of the dogs referred to are stolen coursing dogs: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-25732385
  2. The fact that it happened when the lad was at court suggests it's someone who knows him fairly well - lower than a snake's belly these b*****ds. Hope he gets the dogs back soon. As mentioned it's definitely worth getting DogsLost involved.
  3. Don't give up pal, they do sometimes turn up. Like Brookie said, get on to the folks at DogLost - they will be your best chance of getting him back. They will have volunteers all over the country looking for him. Good luck.
  4. Only having a laugh mate, it's a lovely looking pup. All the best with it.
  5. That'll never make the grade, its legs are too short
  6. Not seen any footage mate, but there are quite a few pics here: http://www.lenstreephotography.com/Grand%20Course%201/index.html
  7. I think they slip dogs in threes over there in the competitive coursing, and as has been said their whippets are a good two or three inches taller than the dogs over here. Bit of a pointless exercise comparing salukis and whippets over here really, they are very different dogs. Personally I love whippets and a decent one will put up a good show on long ears in the right circumstances, but they can't compare with a saluki.
  8. How many litters do you boys think it is reasonable to take off one bitch?
  9. Would definitely say a couple of stitches or staples needed there. Don't think it will heal otherwise.
  10. That is a serious looking animal. I heard those boys are using this sort of cross a lot now.
  11. Pal of mine put Scout over his whippet bitch a few years back and got some real handy little dogs, one in particular (in pic) was game as you like and very quick. 23.5" TTS. i can see that scout look on its face strayshot 22.jpg Pal of mine put Scout over his whippet bitch a few years back and got some real handy little dogs, one in particular (in pic) was game as you like and very quick. 23.5" TTS. i can see that scout look on its face strayshot 22.jpg Scared of nothing that dog, would try to bring down a rhino if you slipped him on one - has got him i

  13. If you look at classified ads for puppies you will see things like pugs and chihuahuas going for more than £1,000 and designer mongrels like "jackapoos" selling for £600/£700. Compared with that a well bred coursing dog that could give you many years of great memories doesn't seem too bad for £400 does it? Hope they end up going to owners who appreciate them SCC.
  14. Plenty of practice is probably the answer. If he's an inexperienced dog he's probably throwing himself around, whereas with some experience he will learn to anticipate the turn better. Also, hard ground can make even a sharp dog look a poor turner if it can't get any grip
  15. Try contacting the editor of The Field - wouldn't do any harm to get some exposure in there: jonathan_young@ipcmedia.com
  16. Are you going to shoot the guts out of them?
  17. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with anyone who deliberately introduces myxi to their area - f**cking despicable thing to do.
  18. Never mind all the other stuff it looks like they were up to, if you set your dogs on people's pets in a residential area, what do you expect? Too many idiots who don't give a shit about anyone or anything getting in to this game.
