    It is a standard response to anyone who comes on here saying "Free vermin control". Don't take it personally. 99% of people on here ALSO want permissions, anyone on here lucky enough to have one, will not be giving it away free. To be fair, you should go look on the "wanted" section of the hunting bit, some of the responses are WAYYYYYYYY worse than the tame stuff here. The standard respons is also always....go talk to the land owners, everyone here is a hunter, we don't own land, if we did, we'd be out shooting it right now. Good luck fella

    Steve, if you have not already sent the cheque, DON'T - you are sending too much. The padded bag was £1.60 and the first class recorded delivery was £4.10.... so don't write a cheque for more than £7 mate!! It went in the post at 1pm today. Let me know when it comes, I have the tracking number if needed. Hope your grandson enjoys it, tell him Den and I send our best wishes

Sent you a PM, I'll get a couple of prices from the post office tomorrow, normal and recorded delivery and then you can chose. Denbell, cheers again for your scope, and now we made a little un happy too! *warmfuzzyfeeling* Right, just got to out shoot Bigmac on Wed night now.....

    Got my first permission using slightly bastardised versions of these papers. BIG call out is that the public liability insurance was the biggie for me. Golf courses are demanding min £2.0 mil !! But the BASA insurance is only £20 a year and turned out worth it for me!

    Well, as DenBell has given me a free 3x9-50 hawke sport hd scope I thought I would do a good turn and offer up my 3x9-40 hawke sport hd. You can collect from me in Newcastle or if you pay for the postage I'll send it to you. The scope is 3 mth old and mint condition, includes mounts and lense covers. Feels nice to do a good turn.

    My first permission letter came today for a local golf course! Great, over the moon! Except the club secretary wants to meet me and walk the course before I shoot it. No problem? Except he can't see me this week and goes away for two weeks on Friday. To make it worse. The following two weeks I am in Germany and Poland for work. Damn it, permission letter in hand and I can't shoot it for 5 weeks!! Never mind Xmas count down.....this is way more exciting and important.

    Thanks guys, taking a far more relaxed approach from now on. If I get something great, if I don't, at least I'll enjoy the fresh air, experience and to a lesser and much smaller degree, the company... LOL

    Barracudas are the same as bis mags mate or just buy a .22 and have your problems solved Really? The tins I had, the Magnums were 10.6gr and the Barracuda 10.5gr - and pretty sure the pellet looked different too? The Magnums were more pointed and had a nipple (well not a real nipple) on the top...? VERY similar but not exact.

    Yeah better feeling than the last trip. Echo Macs thoughts, I was laid up as the sun rose and watched it creep across the field before it reached where I was. At that instant I warmed up 10 degrees and had a huge smile on my face. These late night and early morning shoots are great for star gazing and catching an amazing sun set/rise.
