They found me on Instagram and an editor from a German hunting magazine wrote an article about my knives and a few months ago about William Moore & Grey, too, so I think they have been speaking about the article about my knives. -

Exactly, FeCl3 for some short deep etches, after that a light, very fine sanding and drop it in coffee for several hours, always 100% clean and fat free (soap, hot water, alcohol) Good luck! Nicolas -

Don't know where to get that handle material, but 450,- for a full tang knife is not cheap. AEB - L is not that expensive either, professional hardening with sub cero quench costs about 25 ,- with shipping,... I would animate you to make one by yourself!! Regards Nicolas

Thanks! Same as always, just used the last piece of mammoth I had, it had a little crack, things that happen often with mammoth, but I stabilized it. Smaller blade for a boy but normal handle so he can use it as an adult too, if he won't loose it ? -

Hello, Soon my youngest son will turn 10 years old and so I will make him a knife, hopefully he will lent it to me some times 80mm drop point blade from 1.3505 in 3.8mm, bronze, mammoth and sambar, I still need to make the pommel from bronze with a lanyard hole. Regards Nicolas -
Thanks, the owner goes fishing in Sweden, I think it will be used for fishing and food preparation, whittling.. Not a hunter. The blade is very thin, a more rugged knife could go with 1.3505 or 80CrV2 and little thicker edge. Bronze is a great material for guards, looks good, very hard, takes a nice Patina. Sambar stag is very rugged, raindeer as well. Regards Nicolas

Hello, here a Wanderer with 86mm blade from 1.2510, silver soldered guard from copper (in my personal taste, too soft, it will scratch easily) and spacers from copper, fiber and aluminium. 12cm handle from sambar. Regards Nicolas

Allready gone to the client who ordered it, he goes on hunting safaris in Africa and last time saw the original in the museum..

Yes, I'm thinking about. I had blades cut before by water jet. Just don't know if the machine will accept the size of the steel it comes in as it comes in 30mm wide strips. Regards Nicolas -

Thank you Sirs!! To make a nice knife is not that hard, to make two EXACTLY THE SAME... that was a challenge, now again, I will file a little here and there, till even myself can't tell the difference between both knives. Soon there will be another one, damascus and sambar.. Regards Nicolas -

Here the prototypes, 95mm blades, silver soldered guards from bronze, turkish walnut burl with handrubbed gunstock finish. Kind regards Nicolas
