  8. Yes, stage 2 as everybody calls it, srage 1 as Spanish government calls it (they started at stage 0? Allthough we still have nearly the same number of deaths a day as when the government call out the state of emergency.. People have a short time memory. But a lot of stupid restrictions, you can meet up to 10 friends at home or in a pub but you can't enjoy a walk in the countryside with your family... Well, one day hopefully we will return to normal...

  10. That sounds like a very good combination for cutting performance! For looks, you could throw some 75Ni8 in there. These knives where you put a lot of work and effort into sure will have a special place.

  13. Thanks, I went to Spain a 20 years ago but still feel home in Hamburg. Not that Andalucía isn't nice (it's wonderful) but there is nothing as a deep green forest and the smell of wet leaves. My workshop is actually my father's in law workshop and they live a 30km away, so no way to get there in the actual lock down situation. Anyway, I try to do as much as I can at home, everything that makes dirt (my wife would kill me cutting with an angle grinder in the kitchen) in the workshop. Hopefully I can get back in a few weeks. Regards Nicolas

  19. The German post war model is nearly a 1:1 copy of the English one. The new ones are very very rugged, a 10 years ago I found on ebay a 30 used ones and bought them for a ridiculous price. Only 2 needed some taps with a hammer on the rivet to fix some blade wobble. Today they are made in Asia and quality is far worse, these are marked TSR or MFH. The good old ones are from OFW, Dr. Feike, JS, Köller, Fox
  20. Wonderful craftsmanship!! Don't want to high jack the thread, but I'm a huge fan of rope knives. In the first world War, as people had to deal a lot with horses, the issued knives had marlin spikes to loosen knots and belts. I had these two folders, from Hubertus and Leo Solingen, issued to the German marine before 64 as they changed to another model. As a few years ago it was impostor find information about theses knives, I started to gather information, called companies, German ministry of defense, and at the end, the information you find today about 'Bordmesser BUND' is the resu
