  8. OK I'm not a vet but if it has come up very quickly then i would agree its an abscess maybe try bathing it in Epsomsalt's and as hot as he can handle water. epsomsalts will draw it to the surface (from any garden center or horse suppliers ) ideally you would soak it in it but because of where it is it could be tricky or if he will sit still long enough by some animallinlex (horse suppliers ) and apply as a hot poultice for twenty Min's a couple of times if he will sit still on your lap you might be able to hold it there these are both the ways i would deal with an abscess on a horse once it ha

  13. i have just received this mail from a friend any one in this area keep an eye out My son was out walking our dog last night when he saw a small Jack Russell type dog being deliberately abandoned in the car park of Rodborough common. The driver sped away leaving the little dog frantically running down the middle of the road after the car in the direction of Milford. It had no collar. My son reported it to the local vet and then tried to find the dog, but it was getting dark by then. He was very upset by it, and being doting JR owners ourselves we are also concerned. Has anyone had sig
  14. is he only doing this when you are out ? if so its separation anxiety there are lots of different 'cures ' for it what worked for me going out for a few mins then coming home over and over gradually leaning for longer also the Kong toys (the ones you fill with meat or treats) so they have something to focus his attention on. it takes time but can be stopped
  15. ditch second time in one day im talking about body functions if you have the time try this every time you see your donkey piss at him soon he will learn to piss on command(some racing yards teach the horses to do this so they can samples for testing) both my horses do it. and you will have buckets full of the stuff to kill the weeds with
  16. any one buying a dog should do their research first on the dog and the person. so as duckwing says if their are lots of post from the same person selling the same thing. steer clear if your stupid enough to buy a dog from some one like that then thats your look out. i agree in a perfect world they wouldn't be aloud to post.
  17. Now that's interesting! I do that too. I regularly quarter the acre out there with a bucket ~ and my gloves on! ~ picking up the donkey shit. I wondered if I was mad or something, but see it as perfectly reasonable and just plain good husbandry. Never realised others did it As for the rest? Yeppers. Gloriously sunny day out there. Just had emails which lifted the Sword of Damacles. Nothing bothering me now. I feel beter than James Brown and am just trying to decide what enjoyable task to set myself next. Life is indeed sweet! All together now: " Ditch lives in a house, in
