years ago I was shooting hinds dropped a hind dropped a calf and another hind about 6 ft to the left jumped ...I knew straight away it had taken a ricochet....luckily managed to shoot it in the back of the head as they ran off or it could of suffered all part and parcel of the game no matter how carefull you are . You hear it all the time with .22 shooting rabbits in the head and the bullet whizzing in the air
  2. Run it with the handbrake half on
  3. I know what you are saying about Mr Potter ...but I relish see him on our river and has very little impact on the salmon stocks or wildlife in general ...on the river I grew up and still fish today there were plenty of water hens ..they had all but disappeared around the early nineties when there were numbers of mink starting to show ....the past 2 years I have really hammered the mink I've not had one or seen signs of one since late summer and this year we have a pair of water hens and a dab chick has appeared .As for seals you just have to look at the Ythan mouth up here in NE. Scotland whe

  8. Here is my opinion on the subject ....I have seen a few of these types over the years and like all ready has been said especailly grouse lads ....I rated them but after owning and seeing pure GWP there is no comparison there is something missing with the lab blood or added depending which way you look at it but what I will say is maybe pointers are just too much dog for some folk ...I honestly thought that of mine for a while until you let the dog train you. I know of a good friend of mine that has a litter at the moment a GWP over a lab bitch who works on a grouse moor ...I have seen these
  9. There's a funny story to that pic ....we checked a spot just along the wood with some lads up from down south ...I won't mention names as they are on here ...one is a fat ugly northern wannabe Essex boy and the other is a plastic paddy p***y farmer ....dropped in a bitch called Tilly bred by pickaxe this was a big rangey spot ...took her a while to settle but we were soon digging ...only just started removing turf when a fox hit the net on the outside of this spot which went into a very steep grass bank ...I jumped the fence fell on my arse and rolled down the wet grass behind the fox in the n

Dont believe that for a minute ....like I say the skins would block the plate and I cant see the advantage of rabbit skin in a dogs diet When you say you don't believe it, you've never tried? As for their advantage, all animals store fat under the skin so a proportion of the oils and fatty acids are lost if you remove the skin. Fur plays a similar role to dietry fibre and has benefits to digestive health. cmon you are trying to tell me that my dogs wont get enough fat if I remove the skins ...I know I was born at night but it wasnt last night and what dietry fibre is in rabbit skin?...I kn

  15. so the purpose of a bushing dog is to flush game from cover ?....so why would you choose a bred that has the potential to go on point when it encounters game ?..
