    My bitch is 27mnths old and never come in season shes a picture of health, I don't want pups and/or the hassle of her coming in season but at the same time I don't think I would like her to be barren... and no I couldn't of missed it. so if anyone has experience of there bitch's 1st season being a bit later than the norm I wouldn't mind hearing about it thanks in advance..

    well known coursing man ,had his home broken into while him his misses and kid was home, took dog pup ,and and the fella a rough lad himself was just pleased they fecked off with it and family safe ! coincidently same area . approx. 2mnths ago

    Tyson fury wont be buzzing at all, he already had prices card marked , and would have done the same as thompson but in the later rounds...and would have loved to show the doughters...     In my opion get yourself a dog, you will bring the dog on and vice/versa ,you seem honest your on the hunting life so the fires not out , there is no buzz like an old terrier working the hedge and game bolting all over....you will have a lot more to offer than most and a dog working or not with plenty of exercise is a pleasure, and it will liven the pot licker up abit ! good luck whatever you decide.

    Your post seemed to go the way of diggin, but you did mention pre ban hare courseing and while watching a good course i always rooted for MY dog, sometimes if after a good course a winter hare hit cover or lost the dog so be it, fair play to the hare . yea it might be an unbelievable hare or the dog might have been a bit "off" but hay there was never quick slip that one in ! Respecting quarry is the first rule in hunting... And if a youngster is keen to learn then i would gamble on takin them but dodgy ground i suppose ive never had my fingers burned yet . important post mate g

    A lakeland "type" bitch that is not playing ball while you are ferrating ie not retrieving, would not be uncommon you dont explain what she IS doing , if its ragging at the rabbit she's being a terrier . And working her on rabbit at 8mnths is ok if rabbit will be her only quarry, rabbit scent would cause problems for other work. retrieving out of nets is a big ask for any pup, but stick with her and she should make a crackin busher ! keep getting out there and she'l come good

    Hi tsayad , interesting post iam from the uk but in oz at the moment ( qld ) been here 3mnths great country ! feral pig hunting with bull arabs is real popular and bow hunting is real big, cant tear myself away from the fishing at the moment though !!! pics to follow.
