Better men than me, mate, every one of them.......

I will treat that comment with the level of contempt it deserves....

.......the anniversary of probably the most momentous military operation of them all. As many as 4,000 Allied troops are believed to have died on this day, that saw the culmination of a battle that heralded "the beginning of the end" of WW2. Within minutes of landing, British troops captured Pegasus bridge, and 300 paratroopers landed in Ranville, the first town to be liberated from Nazi occupation. Sadly, an ever-dwindling number of veterans are left to visit the places where their comrades fell on beaches designated Utah, Omaha, Juno, Gold and Sword. Their heroism and sacrifice will

That's what I thought, but you can't be too careful with a gun. Cheers. It's only poaching if you get caught, mate.........

I'd have to agree with Rocky Marciano. Not the most gifted of fighters, but you can't argue with results..........and nobody ever beat him ! Or how about Henry Armstrong - "Homicide Hank" ? At a time when there were only 8 recognised World champions he held the World titles at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight......at the same time !! (W150, L21, D10 !)

Was that games teacher called Bateman ours was and what an evil twat he was, he made a kid who was exempt from doing sports because he was asthmatic run the cross country course, which nearly killed him, he was carted away in an ambulance, and very soon after bateman was gone , no leaving ceremony he just vanished. The school i went to had half the teachers in cloaks and mortar board hats, which signified an evil twat, and were keen to dispense the cane. Opening line was which hand do you write with meaning you got caned on the other hand, and believe me it brought tears to your eyes, although

I had a Games teacher pretty much like every other one - a dangerous psychopath, with an obvious hatred of children ! He would chase miscreants with a spiked running shoe, and twat them across the ar5e if he caught them !! He couldn't be bothered to learn anyone's name, so he just called everyone "laddie". A charming fellow........ On the other hand, I had a Chemistry teacher, Mr Swords, who holds nothing but fond memories (in a non-Operation Yewtree kind of way !). He had a mop of curly black hair and often wore a green corduroy suit with a watch chain. He was a proper eccentric-type, fu

Kisses and hugs have no age limit, but they should have a time and a place....... When I was a lad of 14 or 15, there was a particularly unfortunate boy at school whose life was made a misery, because his mum insisted on walking him to school and kissing him goodbye at the gates ........poor ba5tard !

Sadiq Khan visited his school friend Babar Ahmad several times in HMP Woodhill, just down the road from me.Ahmad was later extradited to the US, where he was sentenced to 12 years, for providing material support to terrorists. He ran a website that published Bin Laden's "declaration of war" and encouraged Europeans to join jihad. He also raised funds for the Taliban, and transferred money to their representatives in Pakistan. Nice choice of friends, Mr Mayor !

I don't really agree with that. I would agree that the EU is not a communist state/project by the true definition but it's economic policies are left leaning. Not quite socialists perhaps but social democrats..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurosocialism Our EU membership was opposed by Militant, and is still opposed by SWPand, the Communist Party of GB, other "hard left" factions, who condemn it as "capitalist". Why do they oppose it but Corbyn (a communist/socialist) supports it ?

Even though all my music is on CD, I still call them "LP's" or "records".......

If, I hope when, we vote to leave I can see the whole corrupt temple coming crashing down. The weaker economies have nothing to lose if we, the 5th largest economy in the world, decide to get off the gravy train. Surely, a British exit will deal a potentially fatal blow to the whole experiment . And if CamCon only manages a narrow win, he must be done for, too ? The whole house of cards will tumble. It's going to be great fun to watch..........

So you would be perfectly happy if one of your kids/grandkids were in with the gorilla then? What I'm suggesting is that they may have over-reacted in shooting the gorilla...... So you would be happy if you're kid/grandkids was on there then? You seem to be going by the little snippets of video holding hands and such? Plenty of eye witnesses said that it wasn't all sweetness and cuddles. I'm going by the word of primate experts (that's neither you nor me), who says that the gorilla presented no threat to the boy. What I do know about gorillas is that they are not nearly as dangerous as most pe
