  2. the one on the left looks like he will be a lump...
  3. Try vaseline,it apparently suffocates the bloody things, but surgical spirit, nail polish remover. Put it on saturate tick wait a couple of mins grab base of tick with tweezers pull out,i usually wait 5 10 mins you can see the tick releasing its grip. forget that... just use the tick remover & have a tick removed in a few seconds....
  4. hes a few years old.... im looking to breed him with a large albino jill, but must come from working stock.. where you based ?
  5. Wow!! He looks like a monster!! His paws are huge! He's also gorgeous you should see the balls on him !
  6. i see it as a bonus if their carrying young...
  7. i like to use big hobs, maybe not as many bolters, but as long as they kill under im happy, also comes in handy when they pin the bunnies down so a mark can be fixed... this is my pride & joy & father to 3 of my new workers which are all doing the biz...
  8. God knows where these daft figures have come from.......look here and then consider how that compares to your quoted figures http://www.cci-ammunition.com/ballistics/rimfire.aspx If you are not convinced then simply try to zero at 35 yards and see what happens at 125. well, by what those charts say it seems someone has been talking a load of shite.... ill take it out on Sunday & give it try... what would you recommend zeroing it in to ? It really depends on the land... and the range you find best suited for that land..however, mine is zeroed for 100
  9. silverfoxsid08 i av shot 17hmr and it is good for 200 yrds silverfoxsid08 if u r only shooting at 35 yrds u wont a air riffle an air rifle ??? no mate, if anything then a .22 rimmy... i wouldnt shoot vermin out at 35 yards with a sub 12 air rifle..
  10. realistically, i wont be shooting out further than 125 or so yrds & the closest will be approx 40yrds.. i hope i get on with it..

  12. just collected myself a cz17hmr, modded up ect.... ive been told i should zero it up for 35yrds & it should be flat out to 125yrds or so... your views please...
  13. ive been trying to contact them for years, gave up a long time ago... never ever replied to me...
  14. eb@y: 350139670738 perfect no hassle tool..
  15. the one you have seen on ebay is basically a bresser gen1, lidl`s sell them for £110 this time of year.. ive looked through a few & for the money there not too bad.. first thing to ask is, what is your budget ? , because when it comes to nv equipment you get what you pay for... you could put a ir filter on your lightforce & it would increase the range conciderably, but then you have to lug a lamp & battery round aswell.. & filters aernt cheap, there £95 or so, your best bet is to get some ir sheeting & cut it into place to put over the lamp if your going to go dow
  16. theres too many grey areas when it comes to regulations, not only in pest control but everything else as far as I'm concerned... i think when it comes to using traps in tunnels, be it man made or natural they should be more specific, eg: how many inches it should be from the edge of the tunnel, ect. just a case of using some savvy, but i always make sure i place my mk4 & mk6`s at least 6" from either entrance inside a tunnel & camoflage them the best i can where possible.... here's my kania..
  17. in english please ? my theory, tested, & no, not under a scientific lab control but here goes, yes the air weapons power remains the same, give or take... the heavier the pellet, the slower it leaves the barrel, the less ftlb is measured on a chroni..
  18. i like them, especially the cob webs...
  19. That will be the difference chap...just trying two guns is not scientific...did you measure the barrel diameter of the guns, did you measure the barrel length...did you check all the seals, did you measure the thickness of the lead deposits inside the barrels...did you measure and weigh all the pellets... what chrono did you use...did each pellet have the same clearance, were they all the same shape, what was the wind direction, etc, etc..it's called repeatable....not, my mate tried it in the garden!! Chap...... that is the whole point NODOBY has done anything scientific here......I cann
  20. strange, but as i say, my personal view is that every rifle is different, but have to say that i use to own a webley FX2000 & had the same results...
  21. just done a test on my mk1 .22 rapid pcp.... chronoed in with bisley LRG 14gr = 11.86ftlb 3 different pellet weights tested: bisley superfields 14.74 gr = 11.25ftlb bisley pest control 18.18 gr = 9.30ftlb bisley magnums 19.66 gr = 8.19ftlb i find the heavier the pellet, the ftlb decreases...
  22. i have a rapid mk1.. i use bisley LRG " long range gold " & i always set the ftlb to 11.5 approx, but when i put a heavier pellet through it, the ftlb drops considerably.. i also tried setting the ftlb at 11.5 with bisley magnums, as soon as i put the LRG`s through the ftlb rocketed.. i personally think each rifle is different..
  23. i have the varmint & do 90% of my shooting from the vehicle, for me the heavier is better, sits in position firm...# you cant go wrong with either of these models, accurate as you like..
  24. glad today went well for you pat... better than mine ! but still good to be out...
  25. that makes 30 nets, not 20 good point.....
