  1. wouldn't it be possible to have the box placed horizontally, then the squirrel can enter from the side, then it will have to cross the trap to get the bait, also the roof of the tunnel will help prevent any foul catches ?

  11. ive got it down for target & vermin, but before i use it in the field i want to see what its capable of & its limits... its a 1:12 twist, so as you say, ill be using 55g max.
  12. picked up my new rifle yesterday, .223 varmint with a T8 up front & a nikko 6-24x56 on top.. looking forward to getting it down Bisley in the next few weeks to put it through its paces & to find what ammo it likes... I'm going to try & get a few different makes of ammo so i can give it a good test.. i appreciate each rifle is different, but what do all you .223 shooters prefer ? also what trigger kits are recommended ? cheers..
  13. ive used dowlings in the past, they screw cut, re-crowned & proofed my ruger 10/22T for £70 a while back.. done a perfect job... it was a few years back though.. 6 months ago i got joe from barnet to do another .22lr barrrel, cut, re-crown but not proof for £40. & ive just got my new .223 remmy screw cut & recrowned for £, looks a top job.. Winnyman, why would you say steer clear of Dowlings, what bad experience have you had from them ? i know neil well & he always goes out of his way to help... rich

  18. i told the Mrs that we would go away for the valentine weekend, she said pick anywhere, so i thought norflok as ive been there a few times " brandiston" but i would see what the coast had to offer.. cromer was reccommended to me by the girl on the hotel booking line, if need be i have untill wednesday evening to cancel my booking with no penalties.. just wanted to know what it had to offer.. im not looking to lash it up with Mrs but just to chill out for a few days..

  20. when i first started to use add-ons i had the same problem with getting the crosshairs in focus... using the scope in day time the crosshairs were bang-on, when i added the add-on, it went pair shaped... now before i attach the unit i give the eye relief a few turns & all is good.. have you tried adjusting the eye relief before putting the unit on ?
