nice one. just getting into snaring my self. got the dvd from colin " woodga " and im getting on ok. to be honest its a bit of a buzz when you first see the catch, well for me anyway.

go on ebay and tap in either, ferret finder, ferret locator or ferrret collar. i use the mk 3 but have just bought a brand new mk 1 15ft cause it was so cheap.

i disguise them so members of the public wont catch the glare and remove them. where i shoot / ferret there loads of foot paths and plenty of do gooders walking dogs. the farmer told me hes had problems in the past with snares been taken away and people complaining.. richie

nice 1... been out my self today. i work mine all year round. mine aernt bothered about the baby bunnies, they work there way through them then surface. luckily ive never had any of my ferrets lay up. i always free feed them so their never hungry, they just enjoy the kill . richie

bought 30 snares recently to start to learn snaring. got a bit of advice from a warrener friend of mine on how to make them less noticable. took some bark from an oak tree and put it in a pan of boiling water for 20 minutes untill the water turned brown then put the pan to one side and left the snares in the water for 3 days. took them out today and theyve turned a black / brown colour. placed them out today and i couldnt notice them. what methods do others use ? richie

you can pick a enrico pedrettit .410 hushpower for £ 150 / £ 200 depending on condition. i sold one two weeks ago and bought a mossberg pump action hushpower .410. comes in handy with the extra two shots when their bolting. ill be honest though theres not alot of difference between using subs to normal 3" magnums. youll only really tell the difference if youre not the shooter and just an observer far away. barraboy it depends where you are but youre welcome to have a shoot of mine if youre thinking of buying one. richie
