    hi snareman.. the snares i use are 23 inches in length and are 6 strands. the tealers never broke but after close inspection i found what seemed to be teeth or claw marks, what i wanted to know was what other trappers used ie: 6 or 8 strand and the pros and cons. just thought that as i saw no evidence of dead or mamed bunnies around i just took it for granted that they broke free... but thanks for your answer i take it now i probably caught a fox. and the ones that got away ? win some , lose some :not_i: . richie

    hi stubby.... im a member of the NFR. but to be perfectly honest with you it aint worth a toss. dont get me wrong, when the forum was open it was a good site to visit because you could have a bit of banter with a few of the other members. the reason why the forum got closed was because a few of the members openly asked other members in the forum if it was a good idea to organize further events and questioned where all the money was going that we donated and paid for our membership and that we should spend some of it teaching new ferreters to make nets ect and so on .. within a couple of hours

    sorry for putting my two bobs worth in, but no one has the right to tell others what to do... everyone has there own methods. i think its the same with all forums... you always get disagreements. people should be more diplomatic in giving advice.

    i use this aswell, my ferrets love it... give it to them for a treat. i even used it a couple of times to get them out of the holes when their working. reccomend it to anyone.. even MC hammer likes it....

    just started getting into snaring after buying the DVD from woodga & my snares from jbs nets. i went out friday evening to set 20 snares on a field that were having alot of bunny damage on. out of twenty set i accounted for seven catches in total but could only account for 4 in the bag as 3 were broke. the worse snare that i had damage on was the one posted below... what would cause such damage ? badger ? fox ? or a bunny on anabolic steroids ? .another question i have is a few of the experts say only use 6 strand snares & not 8. what do others prefer to use ? pros & cons. i thoug

    So going off the above statement it is also true WHAT MIGHT BE SHITE FOR YOU MIGHT BE GOOD FOR SOMEONE ELSE, AA fields .22 5.51's are spot on in my 410. correct... but for me their crap, so my opinion from my experience is there no good.

    Exactly so how can you say they are Shite? If someone wants to find out which pellet suits their gun just get a variety of Pellpax and give em a whirl. Just coz someone says somethings shite in a rabid doesn't mean they are in a S410 or any other gun i can say their shite cause thats my opinion. in my gun there no good. what dont you understand about that.. ?

    LOGAN PENATRATORS ARE SHITE ! i use bisley " LRG " long range gold in my rapid mk 1 at 35 yds nearly pellet on pellet, 60 yards are within a ten pence piece. just to add somrthing, each air weapon will act differently to each type of pellet. end of the day all we can do is trial & error. a pellet that is good for me might be shit for someone else.

    i came across that a while ago when none of my ferrets would go down a certain hole... so i stuck my hand deep inside to see what the score was out of curiosity and my whole hand was submerged in water, no wonder they didnt want to enter..
