  1. Pickaxe, I think it was £70 I paid for the first pup from you, truth is i'd of paid alot more. When I handed over the money you apologised and said " if I give another pup away the wifes gonna divorce me". You had no reason to apologise as at that time you didn't know me from Adam, and you also had what I wanted, a proven line of terrier and an honest account of what I was getting i.e. an experimental outcross. Thanks also for the other three saplings i've had from you free of charge, and also the offer of other promising young stock, your a true gent.
  2. Variety is the spice of life as they say. A 10" dog for me is of little use, educated quarry would bully them. I need a 20 lb terrier that can stand its ground for the last few shovel fulls, and even then they have to show metal to hold on. However if I was working dug out rabbit buries as mentioned before a 10" dog would be needed I suppose.
  3. The truth is, anyone wanting a pup from this litter has not been missled, the facts are there for anyone to read, you can make a decission based on the facts. There are no claims of huge digs, hours to ground. At the end of the day, you pay your money, you take your chance. They wouldn't suit me, but would be the perfect dog for somebody else.
  4. Swing low sweet chariot LMFAO COME ON THE REDS
  5. you sure ?,everyone has blonde moments I am that blonde.
  6. I think your talking about somebody else. He's certainly not got anything to do with Booth or any of his American friends.
  7. There's Glyn Jones whose stall is at gamefairs and shows who hasn't had dogs for years. Don't think the other one would want his name used on internet.
  8. that tyson dog in the country mans look nice, but i wouldent want one out of him for work. my mate had four young ones out of him, nice lookers but thats where it ends. they were tried on rat and rabbit when young, and fox as they got older but no good at all. any way my mate died. and i owed it to himto try the dogs had them for six months or more and tryed them week in week out but still no good. a nice dog that tyson but you would think youd get one worker out of four wouldent you. Don't know anything about the dog,but when a dog is put to stud like that he's bound to cover alot
  9. Don't want to hijack your thread lads, but if any of you lads who work your bedlingtons to ground are planning on using a good dog accross a greyhound i'd be very interested in a bitch pup. I'm in S. Wales, but would be willing to travel within reason for a well bred pup. Thanks.
  10. As the topic says really. Looking for a genuine 1st cross bedlington greyhound bitch pup around april, may time. Bedlington genuine worker i.e. below ground and regularly. Pup to make 22"-25". Would appreciate any help. Would be willing to wait longer for right breeding. I'm in South Wales but I will travel within reason. Thanks in advance.
  11. My brother has asked me to put this up. HW97 with Nighteye 3-9-50 lr scope and bag. Hardly been used £240 +p&p. If your interested I will forward his phone number.
  12. I think that dog was Flint. People say was a white lakeland with Middleton blood?????. I think Chris has written regarding the dogs true breeding in the past, so maybe he could tell you more about him.
  13. As they say, you can't judge a dog above the ground. Too many people buy dogs for appearance and at inflated prices.
  14. I'm not into bedlingtons, but he looks a lovely type, built like a terrier with plenty of bone. Good luck with him.
  15. That's a lovely stamp of a bitch. Which Jones dog is it down from?
  16. On the off chance, does anyone drive for a living and travel this route? I've won an ebay auction for a LARGE koi pond filter and have been quoted £100 for delivery. If anyone could help me save a few quid, i'd be happy to drop a decent amount folding stuff for the inconvienience. Cheers Phill
  17. If I was a character witness at court i'd say Gordons a good bloke, good terrierman with good dogs, whose never done me or anybody else I know anything but favours. Gordon would not tolerate a poor terrier in his kennells, although he may have a few bolters for hunt days, his duties as a professional terrierman go far beyond them. Having said that, if the storys right, then he's done wrong and should make amends.
  18. I don't think Pickaxes mistake was to sell a ''SPARE'' pup, but he's kicking himself about supplying the breeding.
  19. 30 years ago Brian did have some shit hot stuff, but that was when he was only breeding from tried and tested and maybe 1 or 2 litters a year. If you ring him today I bet he'd get you sorted within a week LOL
  20. That choc has filled out a treat. Taffy you have a pm.
  21. I spoke to him for the first time in ages the other day. He still looks in occasionally, but his home computer is not connected to the internet anymore.
