    New Pope!

an Argentinian Pope - interesting - nearly years old - about right !
  5. Bland chicken and rice, little and often, and make sure they are drinking and wee-ing ok. There is lots of this about at the moment, some really nasty ones causing blood in the diarrhoea too. It's also really infectious, so don't take the dog out to parks etc, and be careful with other dogs you have.

  7. Awesome ! Although I am fairly sure I missed the episode of Mr Men where he was dressed like that
  8. lol - I think mine is still coming down the hill !
  9. Indeed - good luck to all ! I've got a little bit on Abbey Lane
  10. Thought that's where our brains were anyway? uh huh ! ( you do know that you can think with the big head, as well as the little one !! )
  11. He ran a good race lara looked keen He did. Wasn't sure turning down the hill, but went on nicely. I had heard Jim Culloty saying he'd love the track and the ground - and he ought to know what it takes to win round there !
  12. I did ok with Lord Windermere today, but not convinced he'd have won if the other horse hadn't fallen. Looking forward to seeing Sprinter Sacre - but I won't be betting
  13. great minds ! I suppose we're biased Lara.... But I do think it's a lovely place.... We go to North Cornwall 3 or 4 times a year for breaks, hour down the road and it don't get much better... Do you get back often? Not as much as I would like. Was at Fernworthy Reservoir, up Chagford way, about a month ago - truck, tent, the dogs and a big sleeping bag !
  14. Good for you for stopping. They seem far more effective than the patches, and can be slowly reduced.
  15. It's called " priorities" luv ! Lol lol Important to get it right
  16. South coast of Devon. Far enough to feel like you are " away", but close enough you don't spend all weekend travelling. Lovely towns, pubs, restaurants, walking, views etc etc, and won't break the bank.
  17. In cricket, the first testicular guard "the box" was used in 1874. The first helmet wasn't used until 1974. Apparently it took 100 years for men to realise that their brains could also do with some protection....
  18. It would depend on what they said the stress was doing to them - if they said they couldn't leave the house, couldn't cope with new people, new situations etc and had become almost recluses - then I think the charity has a point.
  19. Thats quite an improvement - glad it got sorted - hope you can get the money/experience sorted too. Fingers crossed the dog heals well.

    Oap

My Dad retired at 65, got bored, so went back to work at 66. Still there now at 73. A few weeks ago I asked if he was coming up for weekend walk - he said no. It was his workplace football weekend. I told him to wrap up warm, as standing about in the cold wasn't good. He told me... " feck off you adopted short-ass, I'm playing, not watching "
  21. Couple of times a day, and dry them well after, and then some vaseline on the good skin bits. Just keep an eye for the scabs getting infected.
