had a few jacks grabbed by bigger fish on the way in, never landed one to compare the size difference. Did catch a scraper double that had a big fresh bite clean across it, the big girls definitely chomp the jacks when spawning.
Had jacks out the canal on them, nothing massive. iv not bothered fishing it for years though thanks to the otters and eastern Europeans.
I do remember trying to get mice or rat lures when I was younger but never managed it.
depends where i was going fishing but trout roach and skimmers. used to use frogs on a single treble when I was younger wouldn't catch me messing about with them now
Like skot says will be ok but the ret might be abit thick. I shoot exacts in mine, I get a sleeve at a time so they are all the same batch and works out cheaper.
Went out on a new permission last night, its only a little riding school but when I called in the other day the owner said they had seen some rats knocking about and its close to home.

The yard is about 70 yards long with a paddock at the bottom and a stable block running down the left and then a smaller stable on the right at 90 degrees.

in a word yes. Calibre is a personal choice and will depend what your using it for. you get more shots with a .22 but a flatter trajectory with .177 there is also a .20 but never shot one, id imagine its the best of both worlds.
