He came up short when pitched against world class fighters like Pacquiao and Mayweather. The defeats affected him badly. I remember him saying he felt people were laughing at him and that he had somehow betrayed his fans. He blew up in weight and hit the white stuff. Men's mental health is fragile and boxers are particularly prone to depression after a defeat or after retirement. Shame.

Tbf, papers like The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and Murdoch's Sky went with that police estimate. The Police are only the agents of government after all.

Crowds like that would be hell for me. For a start I'd have to take a large bottle to pee in every few hours. Knowing my luck I'd get done for indecent exposure.

This just came into my head, very possibly a senile musing. About 40 years back a mate of mine hooked a salmon well over 40 lbs. It snapped his rod and then his line . I still get an adrenalin rush whenever I get a flashback to it. The next day he caught a 28 pounder. But he said himself it was a tiddler in comparison. That event was defnitely a 40 odd pounder. Let's hope our political masters have been frightened by it.

I checked many of the papers yesterday. They all quoted 110,000. The police figures. Just shows how reliable the media is.

To include no Brit should have to sleep in a tent or not have access to a dentist...just for starters.

As far away from the Yorkshire slop as I can mate. How's them slow motion Arab mutts getting on?

There is no need to come out of the EHCR. Germany and Norway have simply suspended that part of the agreement which details accepting migrants. There's no talk of chucking them out of the convention. A delegation of Labour MPs has been sent scurrying to Germany to find out exactly how they've done it. Abandoning The EHCR without a legal document which replaces or improves our human rights would be rabid madness. Especially with Farage in charge. It wouldn't just be turkeys voting for Christmas, it would be turkeys plucking themselves, taking their own guts out leaping into the oven.

Nah, I'm not that daft. But it's a fact that migrants saw the loophole and acted on it. En masse. I think the french rubbed their hands and thought " great, go for it. Never liked the brits anyway." If the French wanted to control the migration they could identify the gangmasters and make them offers they couldn't refuse. They could restrict the sale of dinghies to legitimate buyers, the same with buying life jackets en masse. But they don't want to ...its payback for brexit.

Poor Tomo I f****n knew he was overdoing that Keto malarkey.

I think the massive turnout displays just how pissed off we brits are. Yes the country has been flooded with immigrants over decades and that has had a grinding , negative effect on living standards. That's the way the system works. The money men want a surplus of labour. This means poorer wages and more profit for them. The more people competing for rented accommodation, the higher the rents for the landlords. And don't forget the small boats bonanza was created by Farage and Johnston. There were no boat people before brexit. It was their stupidity in cancelling the Dublin 111 agreemen

I'm always up for a ruck. It could be a close result. It will depend which mast IWW nails his colours to and whether he fights to his true abilities. We need him lean and committed, but if he is not up for it, or forgets his frying pan, we're f****d.

If you're so hard Francie, you come and sort her out. She's hammered, abused and insulted me for 53 years. Welcome here any time mate. But you've been warned. She's not for the faint hearted. And wear protective gear and steel toe capped boots.

There's a thought. That would put a cat among the pigeons.

I had never heard of him but I assumed from the interest on here that he was a major, divisive figure who would have security .Apparently not, I take your point.

Sorry, high window I think with Kennedy. But same principle.
-
Surely with such a controversial speaker they would check out the roof tops within shooting range. I mean Kennedy and Trump were shot from roof tops.
-
It was mate. My mistake.
-
Somebody should tell those Yankee cops that assassins often hang out on roofs and that rifles can hit targets from long range.

Nah, never 32 lbs. Show the jocks how to do it Bendigo.lol I'm sure that gillie is the one belted over the head by Bob Mortimer in Gone Fishing. Cracked me up.
-
Same with mine. But it didn't stop her being bad tempered. Mine stopped because of the extra risk of thrombosis?

I'd never heard of the bloke. But he seems to have hit a chord with young men. I understand that, it's tough for the young on both sides of the Atlantic. Tate trades on the same emotions. But to me there's similarities between Kirk and Tommy Robinson. They both hit on sensitive nerves and get rich in the process. Enjoy the day, but ffs don't give any money The donation game has a long history. It's been around since the year dot. Internet preachers are the same imo. I wish people like Kirk and Robinson would focus on issues like housing, health, pay, support for the family unit etc.

I would genuinely like honest opinions on this. A bloke on the fishing syndicate I belong to has been charged with possessing indecent images of children. He says he was sent them entirely unsolicited. His case has not come to court yet. I drove up to the beat this morning just as he was getting out of his car. He said "Good morrning", but I couldn't bring myself to reply, turned my back and blanked him. He gets upset and immediately drives home. So the other guys are split, some say I'm out of order and should wait until the verdict and others say he's got a nerve acting
