  1. Cheers bud looking forward to it, ive seen a nice tutorial on pseudo tapering them which im going to give a try i think
  2. The bands are 108's from the stationary company that I use for my office. They're the same dimensions as 107's just a bit longer. I tie them to a pouch and then stretch them so that they lock out just behind my eye and then tie them to the frame at that length. Marbles go well our if them and so do 9.5 mm steel. I haven't sent your replacement TBG bands off yet so I'll stick some bands made from 107's in too. Your too generous mate, thanks so much, dont suppose you know a good place to buy the 107`s? Ive been looking at them on the slingshot forum and they have great reviews from ever
  3. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/296145-telemetry/ Definitely get a system mate its daft to fly without one, imagine losing her and how you would feel not knowing what has happened to her, youve only got to use it once and youve got your money back, get in contact with the email address on the thread above he should sort you out
  4. I put up a topic a while back about a bloke who i bought a system off who sells all the top names, really cheap have a look through and get in contact with him, he will sort you out
  5. No mate, stick with what youve got, thats too bulky for safe use, plus you always need a phone signal, which i know i havent got all the time

  7. Great kill shots mate are those rubber bands the alliance 107`s? How have you got them set up im really interested in using them! Come on lads get your kill shots up and also the setup you used, will be a good reference for begginers
  8. I use wheels weights and also i bought a box of lead jig heads at a carboot for next to nothing, filed the paint off and put them in the melt. Need to get another melt on actually
  9. Appreciate that ... ... Brings a tear to the eye lol, very true though
  10. I hope so... doesnt the target but he tries to aim now... as you can see... so once he get the idea... he should be jammin' .... Nice to see you two getting along for a change
  11. Good idea mate, maybe add the setups used for newbies to look back on? I will get some of mine up, gafer will probably have a few, as will sheffield catapults. Should make a decent topic for reference
  12. Used mine once so far to hold four rabbits and they are quality, and bpr is a top bloke to deal with
  13. Aye!! was that when daddy told him he wasnt allowed to go next time lol No whe uncle RM told him to leave the fecking newt alone!!!
  14. Aye!! was that when daddy told him he wasnt allowed to go next time lol
  15. Thanks buddy, its the second pigeon ive shot with it, the first dropped in some cover and couldnt be recovered, im really liking the combo, get a thread up with some kill pics, been a while since someone puts any up
  16. Just got in from a walk with the dogs and as i was walking the fence of the local football field i spotted 3 pigeons strutting around near the corner of the field at the side of the open gate so i doubled back and went the long way around until i had a clear shot through the gate, pulled the barnett tubes with cutdown pouch until they maxed ,what most would call semi butterfly, and let an 18mm steel cannonball go lol. Pretty slow setup but the ball smacked the pigeon at the base of its neck and it was instant lights out. Loving the antler catty (cheers kranky) with the surgical tubing combo
  17. Thanks mate i will do my best, i read your old thread, really enjoyed it, make sure to do another one . Had a nice chase on a rabbit which slipped down a hole just before the bird got to it, revealing a really nice set which i didnt know was even there will deffinetly be running a ferret through it when i get the chance. Also the bird put a half hearted attempt at a crow.
  18. Agreed mate, get him a kill before he starts getting bored and looks for interest elsewhere.
  19. Bear in mind though most chrony results are pretty close to the chrony wheras in a hunting setting the ball will lose energy as it goes. Plus there not as accurate as an air rifle so more power allows for that i think, so i dont think you can get overkill with a cattyas long as your wanting a clean kill
  20. ive tried the app myself and found it shite, set it up exactly as stated on a ssf tutorial and I was getting anywhere from 50-100 fps difference between shots lol
  21. I dont know mate ive looked at the speed freak competition on the slingshot forum and they aint getting anywhere near that with double theragold and 9 mm steel, ive tried that chrony app awell and haven't had much joy out of it, one shot I got something like 40 ftlb with 12mm lead lol. that result carnt be with 9mm steel weights either 19ftlb maybe a possibility, 36 your taking the piss lol
  22. I posted about the same thing happening to me about a week ago on somebodies thread, there was maybe a mm holding its head on, thats why i only use 12mm lead for hunting as anything it hits dies
  23. You would be lucky to get 10ftlb with 9mm steel mate, as standard you get around 18ftlb with 12mm lead.
