  1. Ive got some but ive got some projects planned i will have a look for you next time im out
  2. The other day i went to my local woodland that holds a few yew trees. Anyway i only took the one fork as i was there for a walk round see if we could put anything in the bag. This is my first natural ive ever done and i proud of it, de barked it then shaped it with my knife before finishing with sandpaper and coating in polyurethane. Hope you like it
  3. Ive shot them before, not my thing to be honest
  4. Id say it depends on the bird, one that was scatty i would keep bowed, one with a chilled out nature id freeloft.
  5. Get a young one is my advice mate, more satisfying and you know its not gonna have any problems before you buy it. If you do get an older bird wait till the start of the season and ask to see it flying.
  6. Just have to wait and see what the life is like on it
  7. Ive bought some theraband silver and made my mate a bandset today, cut slightly wider than i would theraband gold and its spot on, he killed a dove tonight with it actually wit 12mm lead
  8. Got my gamekeeper GPS today after waiting ages, but it was worth it, went for a quick practice with it as i havent shot OTT in a while. With 25mm straight cuts and 12mm lead looking down the bands i was bang on at 10m. So i went to test it out on some pigeons with my mate from last night, he killed the first two also with 12mm lead, then i killed the next two. Its been a top night and now im off to bed because my legs are knackered lol.
  9. Obviously im talking hypothetical here, the pigeons we use a led torch when im with somebody else and take turns shooting while the other holds it, but for pheasant we just shoot them against their silhouette unless theres too much cover in front of them. Find it bang on, give it a go. I will shoot with owt though lol
  10. I was itching to try my new bag and catty out but i dont feel im at a level of accuracy that im happy with in order to try with the new seal sniper catty. So i left that at home and took the GK ttf out instead. Two mates also came. First kill went to me, the feral on the left, then my mate killed a wood pigeon. Then he also killed the one on the right with 12mm lead and a liver shot, it flew a little way then dropped. The first pigeon he killed he took before the photo, he shot really well tonight and when i missed i was only missing by millimetres.
  11. Stunning, your definitely up there with the top catty makers
  12. Yep, youve got to hold the catty to the side and aim with the middle of the fork
  13. Ttf is where the forks and bands are to the side so the shot goes throught the forks. Ott is where the bands and forks are straight up, like yours. And when the catty is flipped it goes over the top of the forks
  14. ye most of the trees are starting to get little leaves on them, but it makes it ten times harder to spot pigeons and thread a shot through it all to the head.
  15. Me and a mate went out last night for what was probably our last night out now the leaves are on the trees, making the pigeons hard to spot and deflecting shots. My mate got the first pigeon but unfortunately couldn't retrieve it, then i headshoted this pigeon with a marble Phone died last night so i took the picture this morning
  16. Bpr had a go a while back http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/293335-first-attempt-at-micarta-catapult/?hl=micarta
  17. Wanting £30 including postage for this Ive already got one of the makers catties so no need for this one, its in pristine condition with no fork hits or anything, i havent even shot it. Its made from teak and yew.
