  1. Under Boris Johnson? I think he'll be too busy shagging anything in a skirt to focus on the real issues...
  2. The fascists across Europe are all slithering out of the woodwork, crowing at the New Dawn and demanding referenda... what exactly does that tell you about what you just voted for? http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36615879
  3. They never have. They're ridiculously overpriced. Order from here, 20€ delivered to your door, before they close the borders... https://www.db-schietsport.nl/en/air-guns/weihrauch/
  4. If you seriously think that the Tory government is going to spend all that money on improving the state of the British farming industry, then I'll have a spoonful of whatever you're on. I'm just disappointed that you all missed a golden opportunity... http://newsthump.com/2016/06/22/britons-to-seize-historic-opportunity-to-tell-nigel-farage-to-f**k-off/
  5. We're better of without scaremongerers like you, please stay of our island for good please No need to be a scaremonger. The FTSE has already bombed, and the pound is currently circling the toilet bowl. Wake up and smell the coffee.
  6. Congratulations, you have now forced Cameron to resign. That means you will shortly have a new Prime Minister, which will be either George Osborne, who spends his days in a coffin, dreaming of ways to extract more blood from the British people, or Boris Johnson, who spends his days being a complete twât. I shall be waving fondly from the shores of Brittany as the British Isles sink slowly beneath the waves under the weight of the falling pound and Nigel Farage's ego. You've made your bed, and peed in it, so now lie in it.
  7. Are you resting your hand on something soft, like a shooting bag, to dampen the movement? If you are, then you have early-stage Parkinson's disease, and should consult a medical professional.
  8. I avoid freestanding shots when possible. I use shooting sticks, a handy tree, a rock, my knee while sitting down, whatever. Any seasoned hunter will tell you the same -- use whatever's available to take the variables out of the shooting equation. Even then, just your pulse will move the rifle round on aim, which on maximum magnification will be very apparent. The trick is to time the trigger release between heartbeats when the crosshairs are on the target, and that comes through practice.
  9. Tis the season... the coypus are back in town. Couple more snuff videos available here and here.
  10. I have four CO2 pistols and three powder-burning pistols. What on earth were you waiting for?
  11. Have a look at Uttings, for a price comparison.
  12. I use mine for shooting rats in cage traps, which is why I mentioned it...
  13. I use one of these for the same application. No recoil. One-inch groups at 15 yards with a red-dot, bench-rested. 60- shots from a CO2 bulb. http://www.armurerie-auxerre.com/crosman-vigilante-revolver-4-5-mm.html
  14. Photography -- particularly wildlife photography. Cycling, for fitness rather than competitively, 2-3 times a week. 25-metre pistol shooting (powder-burners), once a week.
  15. I received a similar reply from my ONCFS enquiry. The list of nuisibles varies from department to department. Starlings are on ours (16) but only near to orchards and grain stores. Pigeons de ville are also listed in the Charente. From my point of view not being a PdC holder it doesn't change anything. I will continue to 'deter' magpies using my air rifle once I get it back from my neighbour. There were three young ones and their mother raiding our strawberries this evening. Ooh, you're such a bad boy. My HW97K, HW85 and now BSA Lightning XL Tactical are only ever used for target
  16. I queried my local ONCFS on this. Their reply is below. Essentially, you need a Permis de Chasse to shoot the bird species listed, although Starlings are not on my local general licence.
  17. They're classified as "nuisible chassable" but not as "gibier", I think. Like foxes.
  18. So it seems like you can shoot any non-game pests with an air rifle. That basically means rats, mice and cockroaches. Probably termites, too. Game pests can be shot with a 22LR (coypus, muskrats, stone martens/fouines). No silencer, though. Guess my semi-auto Browning Buckmark will be getting an airing...
  19. In her reply quoted above, she also specifies "surmulots", i.e. brown rats (norvegicus).
  20. Sorry mate, you understand wrong. Rats yes, coypus no, because they're classed as "chassable".
  21. OK, here's the response from my departmental ONCFS office. I can shoot rats with an air rifle, silenced or otherwise. I can shoot coypus and muskrats with an unsilenced 22LR. Just checking back with them on the regs regarding the need for a Permis de Chasse in the latter case, on private land...
  22. HA. Just you Coypu Nope, Pianoman too, a long time ago in a galaxy, I mean post, far, far away... Question Yoda do you? And are you saying that you have never, ever picked a springer out of the cabinet and found it to be shooting off zero? Strong the Force with you must be...
  23. You'll find that an air gun's accuracy with Airgun World depends almost entirely on how much the maker's advertising budget is. Obviously Diana are in the lower end of advertising revenue. Ooh, cynical... Note that I said "The reviewer says..."
  24. There's a review of the Diana Mauser replica in the July issue of Airgun World. Overall positive. The reviewer says he was hitting a 40mm kill zone freestanding at 20 yards consistently, and plinking tin cans at 55 yards, all freestanding with open sights...
  25. Is that a new product aimed at Scottish airgunners who can't be ârsed to apply for a licence?
