  1. i did start getting them fit again a few weeks ago,but i have put it on hold again due to the heat, the reason you cant keep them tip top imo is because the heat absorbs energy from a dog like mad, they knacker themselves out just by trying to keep cool, panting, plus i find they go off their food,so if you put a hard exercise regime on top of this in the heat you will exaust the dogs, unless you dont work that is,if you dont work for a living then you can do all your walking early in the morning.
  2. does anyone own one if so what are they like compared to the 410,are they older or newer than the 410
  3. i saw a guy yesterday that was trying to sell a gun,he told me it was a airarms 410,but on the side of it it says 310,ive seen a few 410's and thats what it says on the side of them, does anyone have any idea what this gun is,cos ive looked on the airarms site and i cant find anything about a 310,any help would be appreciated

i dont own any birds myself, ive always been interested in them and was just wondering how many hours per day do you need to spend with the birds ie feeding, cleening out, exercise etc. what size aviary would you say is a good size?
  5. its not penny pinching at all mate,i just heard that sheep dip is really good stuff,i use frontline usually and it doesnt come cheap when youve a few dogs to do
  6. its always a sad time when one of our hunting companions leave us .i had to do the same thing a few years back after my lurcher attacked my spaniel, devastating. when a dogs quality of life is gone, its more cruel to keep them alive imo
  7. i got a chance of getting some sheep dip and was just wondering the best way to use it on the dogs,i was told to wipe it over them with a sponge-is this right
  8. i think england need to be playing a good side to play well,i find that when they play rubbish teams they play rubbish.i hate to say this but i think if england step it up they could win it
  9. this is no fault,it doesnt give the quarry a heads up either, you can bet your quarry knows your about just approaching a earth by vibrations throo the ground, its just excitement, dont worry about it
  10. i wouldnt like to guess they all look the same to me max,i wouldnt like to be over there pissed up
  11. f**k sake max,bet you all done some shagging over there, with women i hope, but knowing what your like after a drink i doubt it :11: :11:
  12. the only small disadvantage would be the dogs coat would be alot thinner so would feel the cold more on a cold night, but apart from that it doesnt change a dogs instinct to run and catch
  13. yea, aslong as you have the space and time for each and every dog then its down to the individual, you allso have to take into consideration the other people aroud you, like neighbours etc, obviously excessive barking or whinning is a pain in the ass to people, but aslong as they are all quiet and kennels are always kleen then they can keep their noses out-if you are lucky enough not to have neighbours then do what the hell you like
  14. alright straight line,i got a week of this week so im just started the dogs back into fitness a steady 5 1/2 mile walk a day for a few weaks now,i want my younguns to be tip top for this coming season as rogue has brocken another toe, thats one on each foot now, dont know what im gona do with her as i know they are gona play her up like mad this season, thats why she will only be ran on the lamp,im gutted as i was gona give her a real hard season on the big stuff. as for hares being a test for a dog at night, well i have to disagree,im not mocking people that do it cos i do myself and its great s
  15. not getting into any more f*****g stupid arguments unless your answering my original question dont bother posting
  16. years ago i used to feed my dogs vitalin-never again its crap
  17. andy im not knocking your dogs at all,and yes i can read thanks,27 hares is a hell of a lot doubled up or not,and theres not many dogs in the country that could do it i doubt,i myself have had very large numbers of hares at night and also some very very long courses,by putting this question up i wanted to hear of some coursing guys and their dogs,i did not want it to turn into a childish argument about lamped hares and daytime hares.
  18. sorry guys-daytime hares i meant.lamping hares is one thing but lamping them doubled up is another.they are very big numbers that people have had,but its not fair to run 2 dogs at nite on a animal that is worthy of a better chance
  19. ive found they are good on a windy night when the fox is a fair bit away from you ,but on a still night they are far to loud and spook the foxes
  20. my kennels and everything i use are always spotless,my dogs dried up after posting this so it wasnt anything serious,my mates dogs had a jab of synulox which didnt work but his are better now aswell
  21. it definately wont be bone radial, that is very strong stuff whch is used for healing brocken or fractured bones etc if used wrong this bone radial can burn the skin of a dog,as i said earlier the stuff in the spray bottle is simply a dog linament, its the same stuff as rugby players etc use before a match to loosen up the muscles
  22. just wondering if anyone on here runs pure salukis. and also who breeds the top coursing salukis etc
