    WENT TO A SPOT ABOUT 40MILES AWAY, NICE AN BLOWY TILL I GOT THERE, WIND DROPPED MOON UNCOVERED AND THEY COULD HEAR ME A MILE AWAY, MANAGED A FEW GOOD RUNS AND PUT 5 IN THE BAG SO NOT BAD REALLY, TRY AGAIN TONIGHT THE WIND IS SUPPOSED TO STAY WITH US, GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE ELSE GOING TONIGHT :thumbs: .

    hi all, well i will be giving the lamp a go tonight if i can keep upright, i dont know about you all but it has been the worst year i can remember (and i have had 50 of them ), its either twoo wet, too hard, full of snow or when it is half right there is a big moon, im not waiting for this one to go down as it will probably pi-s down again, anyone else giving it a go???.

    did you centralize the scope first,, ie-count the number of clicks from one end to the other on both windage and elevation then turn them both back half of the amount, then try zeroing.

    lightforce striker without a doubt, if you cant afford the lithium battery then get a lucas 22ah, i use this set up and it lasts me all night every time.

    the trouble with starting them off during the day is that they learn to hunt up if they miss there quarry.

    saluki/whippet x whippet/greyhound, they are great all rounders and have good feet that can usually cope with most ground.

    most reliable all round lamp is the striker 170mm, if you can get a 22ah battery but nothing lower than 17ah if your going to be out for 4 or 5 hours.
