i think you read to much mate, things aint black and white , exertion , like when kids come in from being out side all day and fall straight to sleep, twins ,ones sat on his fat ass on a computer all day the other helping out on the farm from a young age ,would there be a difference. as iv said before your whole body adjusts to what you do when your young , it most be right because when i was young i could never get a girl friend and iv always been none as a wanker to mates Perhaps you should read more, and then you might learn to make a bit more sense when you write. Things are fairly bl -
too many runs in a young dog can pile on too much muscle in the back legs twisting them out of shape making them cow hocked, it can also enlarge the heart with the lungs being pushed too early, like a lot of young dogs they can be finished at a very early age, let the pup mature a bit and you will get the years out of it barring accidents, I learnt the hard way losing a top bitch aged only 3 and Half, WM they only build the muscles used for running how can that be bad, running does not enlarge the heart just the arteries that why when runners get fit their heart slows down as it pumps more

you say lack of knowledge, so i take you've taken pups out from a very young age and they have all had joint trouble ,pups taken out very young do not run flat out its like a game to them there playing ,they live longer look younger and have less joint trouble , bit like humans who's looked after there health, I'm not saying this to stick up for trigger because i think he's a cnt. -
would you say as well, the reason they have good feet,is because they (saluki/ xs are norm light boned dogs (45-65lb) dogs, where as big lurchers, or pure greys from 65 -85lb , running on rough ground like on this post get smashed feet. 20 odd lb makes hell of a difference when hitting ground at speed . . my big dog Buck got great feet, he handles most type of ground, ok he a big heavy dog. But its his gate when he runs his long bounding stride cover ground quick, its not like say Bryn who got a faster gate so his feet hit the ground quicker, if you see what i mean lol. do

trigger is welsh but he is talking a little bit of sense if a pup can't stick walking through a little bit of shit when there 8 weeks old they aint worth keeping ,before you knock it try it. -
people are living longer now, but i doubt very much the next generation will, in the forties fifties and sixties kids had to walk everywhere, they were out all day nesting rabbiting fishing you name it , i believe your body adjusts to what you do when your young that includes your brain, that why its so important to get pups out as young as possible then your half way there to having a decent dog

unless your buying its got nothing to do with any of us,maybe they put high prices thinking theres more chance of them getting good homes, who cares any way, leave this sort of thing to the old woman
-
would you of said the same if it was a rat , probably not, theres a good chance most would laugh and find it funny, yet the rat values his own life the same as the fox , iv had a quick read and iv never known so many hypocrites on one thread

He can't be proven guilty if he hasn't been taken to court but look at the facts. Car Uniform Sold his shotgun shortly after the murder Stashed antiques in someones shed Washed his jumper which disappeared Murdered someone else with a shotgun Scored very high on the psycho test Wife thinks he did it Daughter thinks he had something to do with it Raving loon You'd be hard pushed to prove him innocent. And he IS a convicted murder after all. he killed the old boy because the old boy knew that it was him who did the burglary at the farm house. i think the old boy threatene

Anyone else having a serious lack this year ??
TALKCHEAP replied to Brian-911's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
id say it nothing to do with summer hunters, if that was the case pigeons would be few and far between , there a good chance its the amount of rain weve had,as a lot of young rabbits are born in a single holes very close to the top of the ground , and alot of them c--ts with air rifles might think were c--ts with dogs , so live and let live -
realy good thread , maybe the first of many

No offence mate but that dog is 28tts and is way heavier than any 1st x collie/grey I've ever seen. But he's only 8 months old. He will be a different dog entirely in 8-10 months when he's taken shape. Gaz I don't understand what you're getting at Gar.......are you saying in 8-10 months once he's grown an inch or two and gained a fair bit of muscle mass and more bone structure it'll look similar to a 1st x collie/grey in size and shape. mid to large dogs norm got there height by 10 moths old , and up to -2 years old to get proper mature weight , bigger breeds Dane

I guess that make's me a fuckwit as well mine was watching other dogs at 4 mths old running rabbits at 7 mths old and getting in with an older dog before 12 mths and was a single handed nobber by 14mths hedz another fuckwit when would u 1st take yours out bigdaddy? i get mine out soon as they have had there jabs. and they say you cant learn an old dog new tricks, theres still hope for you yet

you seem to know what your talking about but what do you mean by let the bones set
-
your be fcuking lucky mate,if you was to compare dogs to cameras, id say a bull x is like a cheap throwaway camera, easy to use but dont take the best pictures, the asation x or a dog of that type is more like an exspensive camera which are abit more complicated , and if they ( pictures or dog) didnt turn out very good ,the reason could be is that you are naive or as thick as shit, all the best TALKCHEAP.

there are crosses that put the odds more in your favour of producing a good dog though your right thats why you should put a bit of thought into it before you breed,
