  1. jasper... I've just had a look at my policy. I'm policyholder on my 106, malc is a names driver, it then says 'Mrs Shell is also insured to drive with the owners consent... blah blah blah... other cars basically'. But no mention that Malc can. Elsewhere in the docs it makes reference to 'the regular driver' as being able to driver other cars, presume that is the policy holder. So that's a no go! Shell
  2. We've had the same with the Navara. Hubby is main driver on it, insured with Budget, and he can't drive other cars on this policy. But, it doesn't really affect him as he doesn't drive other cars if you see what I mean. I'm with Budget as well for my little 106 and I CAN drive other cars on the policy. Just had a thought, but as my hubby is a named driver on my policy could he drive others cars through my policy and be insured? Shell

  4. Childbirth... and no, you don't forget it!!! I'm just glad it only lasted an hour! Almost on a par though... I had my toe nails and nail beds removed on both big toes the other year... it was winter, kennels house was freezing, running out of logs, so I hobbled out to the log shed, with both feet bandaged up, hardly able to walk with the pain, socks and sandals on (couldn't get anything remotely substantial on my feet), got the barrow and chucked a few logs in... gets back to the house and this huge mother of a log fell out of the barrow and landed right on my big toe... I have never s

  8. We've had one just recently had a phantom. We usually just leave them to run their course, but this particular bitch was really knocked about by it. Off her food big time, starting to look thin from it. Had her to the vets, got some 'Galastop' to dry up the milk, and asked for a shot of B12 to get her apetite going. Within hours of the B12 she was eating like a pig, feeling much better in herself, and with a couple of days of using the Galastop her milk had nearly dried up. We fell out with Galastop a few years ago as it seemed to knock one of our old bitches out and she seemed to go worse

    Smoking

I used to smoke... 20 a day, whatever was cheap, usually Richmonds. Stopped jsut over 12 months ago. Went on those anti smoking tablets, Champix, and haven't looked back. Had the odd moment where I've nearly succombed back to temptation. Hasn't helped that Malc stopped last Christmas for 6 months, and has since started again. Shell

  22. Went down to our friends chicken farm yesterday in Lincolnshire. He'd emptied one shed of chickens, and had a week gap before the new birds came in, so he called us lot in to rid the farm of a few rodents. Of course, we obliged The team consisted of our 3 Border Terriers (Imbra, Hope and Glory) and 2 lurchers (mother and daughter Atol and Reeba)... Reeba and Hope both unexperienced in fast action ratting, so we were keen to see how they did. The other dogs were Alans 2 Borders, Fizz and Fern, and cross bred terrier Gemma. As soon as we got to the farm and got the dogs out of t
